My thoughts as I play through Episode 2 RIGHT NOW!
I'm so excited!
Wow, I wish Snow stayed dead longer than two seconds.
So I reached the point where Snow and Bigby enter the elevator and I decided to rewind because Bigby's actions didn't match the answers I selected and the persona I was trying to craft through the story. Game is still choppy and buggy when it loads all the time. The audio kicks in and people start talking before the screen even appears. The rewind didn't work right so it crashed and corrupted my file so I had to delete it and do Episode 1 all over again.
I'll post again after I finish chapter 1.
In general, I find it hard to make decisions because there is what I want or would do and then their is Bigby's own character.

Also, I'm interested to see what you think of the second half of the episode. Things get... weird.
I didn't have any major problems with the game , I don't know why people keep complaining about it. All I noticed was some short delays after clicking on some buttons , but that rarely happened. I didn't experience any major bugs.

You didn't necessarily "duplicate" it, you just posted twice on accident I think. It's fine though, happens fairly often.
Almost done with Episode 1 again and picking my old answers. Last two chapters.
In my game, I did not give Faith money. I told Beauty I would lie for her, but then told Beast the truth. I went to Lawrence's first to save him. I chose to tear off Grendel's arm and capture the Woodsman. I'm torn about if I should make TJ scared of me. In my very first time I did not want to, but the game forced me to hit Toad because I missed the dusty mark lampstand (did not have selectables auto-viewable). In a way I kinda liked that change to see where it would go.
Well, since people are posting their own things and since I had to restart my game, I don't feel like doing my little thread anymore. You can go ahead and delete this.
Alright, nevermind.
Okay so I got the Woodsman to talk without violence, so that was all good. Well, at least we are making headway on the missing Sister mystery. I wonder what girl would have been talked about if I had captured Dee. I think from the side remarks from Crane and Bluebeard that they are clearly in cahoots. They must have some sort of deal or are planning something that might have involved framing the Woodsman. Bluebeard's book of fable entries make him incredibly suspicious. And I gave Crane an easier time in the car ride earlier. Maybe I was too nice.
Okay, I'm very disappointed Snow came back so quickly, but her demeanor, deception and narcissism has set me on edge. Even her explanations don't make much sense. Given the title of this Episode, I'm not sure that really is Snow. I don't trust her. If I were Bigby, I would have demanded more information about her decapitation and miraculous return. I would have been pissed, because that shows a lack of trust and respect to not inform him of her plan.
I'm right about to talk to TJ so I'm glad I didn't shakedown Toad.
I wish I got to keep all that stuff I had in my inventory from the previous episode. Like that torn pants' piece. I only have money in there and I wonder if players who gave Faith the cash don't have it now.
Okay well I gave Faith my cash and later on in ep 2 when you go meet georgie and rough him up/threaten him etc. You can look through his safe and take your money back and steal the rest of his cash, I noticed that when given the option to give all your money to the little mermaid (forgot her name xD) you still have money in your hand that you picked up from the safe, and if you don't go pick up the money from the safe then you don't. Kinda weird but yeah that is how it goes. I played the game on all 4 of my saves each with different choices that I made back in ep 1. I don't like how the preview for ep 3 makes it seem like snow is a bitch to you especially since I was nice to her the entire fucking time since she is bigby's girl and all.
Anyways I like how crane was the murderer and I am so fucking glad I let her come with me, I mean I played the game a few times and had her stay back at the office since it was too dangerous but yeah.. after I went through that and knew he was the creeper I had to go and make damn sure she comes with me, who knows what that creep would do to her.
Alright, the story is expanding. I don't know many fables involving someone laughing or possessing a hatred of laughter. I didn't scare TJ and was nice, but I can't wait to playthrough as a tough mean guy to see what's different. I don't feel I maximized what I could get out of TJ. Just "stop laughing at me."
Whooooaaa. Okay, well I guess I'm not suspicious of Snow before. Quite clever really. I'm actually impressed with how Telltale manipulated us. To think that Snow found the body while Bigby found the head...
LOL that is really funny how when Snow holds the brooch it shakes back in forth not in time with her own motions. Jeeze, I even know how to animate that in Maya. Contraints man.
Who the hell brought the body back? Snow is acting so disgusted, so I don't think she would have managed it.

Wow this game is really twisting around my choices. I was nothing but reasonable and Snow tells me I have to make more of an effort with Holly. I guess I didn't give her sister's body back on grounds of evidence, but still.

I like all the voices and accents so far, but not Georgie's. I was hoping he was Sebastion the crab given that tattoo. That would have been funny.
Wait a second! What happened to the original Georgie's voice. He sounded real good in that trailer. Much more professional and interesting.

NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE! What are you doing Bigby?! Going up with Beauty is the worst idea ever! It doesn't even make sense! Nobody is even around in that dump to see you. And clearly you're in places you aren't normally seen so being with someone would be even more suspicious! She isn't a client. Her job is to work that front desk. She's basically abandoning her job right now. This is a dumb idea and you don't need her anyway. Gawd, now I'm going to get into a fight with Beast over a stupid misunderstanding that wasn't my choice.

I did not expect this amount of sex in this game or story. I haven't read the comics of this either. Is this stuff in there too? Does Clementine also voice Beauty?
Man, locked doors are creepy and aggravating. I guess I did need Beauty to get into a room. But how the fuck did Beast suddenly show up? Convenient. Aw man, I don't want to hit him, but I understand that it will almost impossible to have him believe Bigby or Beauty at this point.

Haha, it's funny when you don't do the action scenes. There is only one thing you have to press a button for so you don't die and when you press nothing else, it's funny to see how the scenes get silly to show Bigby out on top even when he got his ass kicked the whole time. Beast beat me up and hit me with a bottle and suddenly he is the one panting on the floor instead.
WTF? It ends just like that and now Beast believes me. Boy that trailer was extremely misleading so far. Man I thought my decisions would have permanently caused these people to hate me or something. Now, does that show depth of character or is that because the writers couldn't account for everything? Or did they only have one real plan?
I really like the scenes and art in this game.
Beauty AND Beast should be the ones to go downstairs and keep people out of the place. Beauty is wandering around contaminating my crime scene. There is no reason for her to be here and both Beast and Bigby told her to stay outside. I don't like this broad.
Man fuck Beauty, she needs to get out. Get DNA evidence from that apple!
Super pissed at that really shitty ending. This episode seems much shorter. Hopefully, there is more to be seen if I caught Dee instead. Where was Lawrence in this episode? And I didn't get to see my choices? How could they not have that ready by launch? Maybe not enough people have played yet. All in all, I was very riveted by these events, but left very disappointed by the ending. I'm actually not sure what the Smoke and Mirrors title actually alluded too. We weren't really tricked that way except for the Lily/Snow death switcharoo.
Just finished my playthrough and now I can read your message. Yeah, I'm going to be playing both Episodes again and experimenting with the choices. Maybe I'm disappointed because I felt that Faith had a much larger role to play in this. I thought she was central to the plot, and somehow the mystery has diminished for me now that it seems to be "merely" a story about Snow's stalker. I hope that's not the case. I think Crane could have been framed. Glamours are rampant and there is a black market one. Ya gotta think who would leave an envelope full of incriminating evidence at their crime scene. Also, who was holding the camera?! I think Bluebeard is doing something far more sinister.
I agree with you about that ep. 3 trailer. But then again, they really tricked us with this one too. Well, not so much as trick as basically lie, but most trailers or advertising do that in someway.
The glamour and such. Trickery in other words. I'm also betting the end is misleading.
Re Lawrence: It would have been nice to see him but if you replay episode 1 with him alive, you should see that his segment from the episode 2 preview has been stripped. So, story changes must have been made, hence the delay.
