Did They Remake The Whole Episode?

That would explain why the episode took so long to get here, The Screen for episode 3 changes, The preview at the end of episode 1 has nothing to do with what actually happens in this episode,And It feels a lot shorter than Episode 1, It was a good episode and I enjoyed it but It felt a bit rushed, Now I find myself wondering if they did it because of people finding about the ginger guy or something else

They might of, as you never get to flip Snow's chair like Bigby did in the episode 2 preview.
And you never See Prince Lawrence ( Thats if you saved him) , You never push Crane around and ask him " What did you do?" , You don't become the wolf and Toad never asks you " Jesus Christ Bigby, is that you? , I wonder what made them remake the whole thing
In the next preview he does say that.
I'm going with yes. From the things you mentioned plus how they changed the EP3 banner seems like they took it in a new direction.
I know, But that was supposed to happen this episode if you see the preview but now its gonna happen in the next one
The real question is, Why ?
My idea:
The original story was based on "Death Snow White, Killer and Mundy Police". I think they would keep snow death at least 1 or 2 more episodes. And, the Mundy cops will investigate too, and Bigby will be a suspect for them. And Bigby will try to dodge cops and find killer at same time.
But, it was not good at all and they changed it. But still not %100 sure.
You can actually see the scenes that they either re-did or added. You can see the quality of the lip-sync drastically fluctuate throughout and those seems where it is rather poor were probably added scenes.
Damn, I hadn't noticed the change to the third slide. Things were certainly cut out from the episode. The confrontation with Crane in the witching well, which I assume would've happened after "Revelations"; the detective's (Brennigan, was it?) role seems to be lessened based on the change to the slide, etc.
I also got the feeling Snow was supposed to stay "dead" until the third episode, or at least the end of this one, I don't know. This episode seems to emphasize choice asking the question "How far will you go to get answers?" I knew Snow would somehow live, but at the time, her murder was what drove the violent actions of my otherwise civil Bigby. I wanted answers.
I really hope whatever changes were made were for the best.
I doubt, if they did, redo the entire episode that it was because of the ginger guy. Honestly though the whole thing felt a little disconjointed in some places. It does seems like there have been drastic changes to the story and plot, which isn't too surprising for Telltale; but I've never seen to the point of 4 months delays and during the process after they released an actual episode.
I on the other hand think they had something prepared for the ginger guy but since people started to notice and made a big deal out of it they had to change a lot of parts in the story, I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't even appear in the rest of the story
We found out who the killer is, so they changed the whole story.
I don't think that guy was the killer but he was gonna play a big part in the story somehow so I agree with you, They did it because people made such a big deal out of him that they were forced to change the course of the story
Not the whole episode but if that guy was supposed to play a big role they had to change a lot of things which is what they did
I noticed him but never went to the forums about it. Would be nice if they had more content in this episode.
I became suspicious of him in the scene when you are going after Dee and he is just laying there on the floor I was like " What the hell is this guy's problem"
After SMOKE & MIRRORS, I hope the next episode of TWD actually manages to deliver on what was promised in its preview.
I had the same suspicion after i played half the episode. Lawrence isn't even mentioned! Let alone showed... Me personally, i really liked the episode and i'm definitely looking forward for the next one. As you said, the slide for ep 3 changed completely, the whole mundy cop investigation seems to be out of the question now. I don't know we'll just have to wait and see. And also, wasn't Cinderella in one of the models for ep 2? She's also shown in the preview alongside Georgie. The ginger guy is also shown as the "Crier".
Smoke and Mirrors preview: "Jesus Bigby... Is that you?"
A Crooked Mile preview: "Jesus Bigby... Is that you?"
A House Divided preview: "I thought you were dead..."
In Harm's Way preview: "I thought you were dead..."
FUUUUUUUUUUU
Maybe some of the stuff is still to come'
I just hope the preview they showed us is at least somewhat accurate , Im getting tired of Telltale trolling us with fake screenshots and trailers
Really don't think it's a case of "Oh everyone guessed it's that guy so lets change everything" at all because that is absolute amateur hour.
If you create a story, you have the courage of your convictions to go through with it regardless of whether or not some people guess. If the storytelling is good (which it often is with Telltale anyway) then you go with it.
You don't NEED to surprise people for the sake of surprising them.
Because internet detectives figured out who the murderer was
Fitting.
Sounds like the best reason, Makes sense
This is my greatest fear about this whole thing. I think they should stick with their original vision, and put out a quality product on time, rather than adjust the story on the fly just because some people online speculated correctly.
Future players of the game won't be affected by any amount of internet speculation. All they'll care about is the quality.
The mundy cop investigation might not be out of the question. For example, it's possible that Detective Brannigan finds the note she wrote when questioning Bigby and tries to the get to the bottom of it herself after the precinct doesn't believe her.
It certainly felt like it was changed.
I love how people kept on whining because of the delay and now that it's out, they say that it feels "rushed".
Thats the problem with this episodic format, The episodes take so long to come out that you are risking people finding out whats gonna happen in the story and now you are in a position where if you don't change it the fans are gonna look at it as too obvious
Well, it does. Which makes the delay all the worse.
Well, it would have been admitting that the director messed all up.
I think the ginger guy is the key to all our suspicious.
And they directed him very bad in the first episode, overexposing him if he was the killer - and it's very probably.
How to make the tension ramping if you know already the killer from ep. 1?
That's why they changed everything.
It's bad if they had to change their plans, I'd like to know the original story, not the derivative one.
It doesn't feel rushed imho.
The contrary, I really liked some part of it.
The only rushed thing is the Bigby vs Beast part IMHO. And the Ep.3 placeholder.
Does it really matter all that much if the episode fully matches the preview or not? I want them to simply delivery on a good game and story. I think the jury is still out on TWAU, this episoide was clearly changed and Telltale sorta used this episode to change directions but I think at the end of the day if the story they've come up with going forward is a good one, does it really matter if you got to yell at Crane or not like in the preview? I'd rather an interesting story, over something lame and predictable just because they want to match the preview cut scenes.
I just completed the episode and I also noticed a big difference from what we previously had in terms of length and content. For example the scene we saw in the preview for episode 2 where Bigby threatened to throw Crane down the witching well,I don't think it was included in this episode. And maybe I'm wrong and if it's the case I hope someone will correct me but didn't the image of episode 3 change ? I think it was initially an image where we saw a mundy cop spying on Bigby. And for those who thought that the ginger guy was suspicious,I don't think he was present at all in this episode.
Because it does, If you are okay with Telltale trolling you with fake trailers and screenshots thats your business but don't judge people who are pissed about it, This game ain't free so all he people who bought has the right to complain
Almost nothing from that preview happened in the episode, And no he did not appear, Weird right? The first episode we saw him everywhere and now where is he?....
Yeah, I don't have any doubt about this. There are many scenes of the preview that don't fit in this new episode, for example, the fight between Bigby and Beast that happens on the streets and in the episode, it happens in the hotel hallway.
Remake it explain the 4 months delay too.
You may be right, maybe they got something on the camera too? But still, it still feels..... I don't know, weird? Hence the slide for ep 3 changed completely TT certainly didn't do this before. I just hope this isn't some sort of new tactic from them, as someone above said. I certainly don't want this to happen with TWD as well.
