Serious Episode 3 Plot Discussion(Spoilers)
So, we can discuss Episode 3 here.
First, episode 2 was a little weaker than episode 1. So, I have less motivation. Snow is Fine, I tortured Dee very well, I stole lots of money and destroyed Georgie's place, I find out lots of things. I can't cleary tell what's waiting us next.
What we know:
-Dee and Woodsman are not killers.
-Dee and Dum are loan sharks, Beauty owns them money.
-Faith stole from a boss.
-Crane has "Snow" fetish
-Faith is dead.
-Lily(Holly's sister) is dead.
-Crane had sex with Lily. Lily was wearing original Snow White costume, she bite an apple, all fantasy were depend on Mundy Snow White Fable. Lily was glamoured as Snow White, but that was black market glamour and glamouring as another fable is illegal. Crane did all of them.
-Lily's glamoured body was wearing Snow White's business dress. Skirt, coat. But that was not perfect. That got some mistakes.
-Lily's body smelled like Snow White's perfume. We found snow a little bottle of perfume and a note on that: "Use this."
-We found flowers in Lily's hand. Same at the hotel room, the fantasy sex set-up.
-I can't remember other thing we found in Lily's pocket. Sorry.
-Georgie is srange person and we wasn't able to get info from him.
-Gren still trying to be badass.
-Crane attempt to run away with his car at the end.
-Difference between Lily's costumes means killer can be different person.
-TJ saw Lily's dead body thrown down from bridge. Those people made body heavier with stones. They saw TJ and they were laughing. "Stop laughing" they said, TJ can't remember more and he was so scared.
-Snow being bitch about everything and she is angry to Bigby. We don't know reason. What is HER PROBLEM For Fables Sake?
-Beauty working at hotel for pay to Tweedles. Beast didn't know but he learned.
What you think what is waiting us next?
Comments
I hope we get to see Bigby's badass werewolf form in episode 3!
Well I hope they give some appearance to Prince Lawrence, I saved him, but havent seen him on this episode tho.
Snow is a real bitch to Bigby at the beginning of the Fables comics, so she's got to start being that way sometime.
She's not so much a bitch as cold, distant and professional, AFAIK.
Are you sure Faith stole from Georgie? I thought Faith stole from the Tweedles' employer, whoever he might be.
I was under this impression too. I believe he was called the "crooked man".
I'll change that.
Well, I think that we will run after Crane first. But, what's next? Dealing with Dee or woodsman?
I think Bluebeard is connected with the case in some way and after Crane we go after him. Who read the comics know that he's a really son of a bitch.
Crane is obviously suspect number 1 now. He'll try to flee and Bigby will pursue him, as per the new Episode 3 title card. It'll transpire that Crane is only guilty of being a pervert and a stalker, but Bigby will get information about the black market glamour from Crane, and that'll lead him to the Crooked Man.
I don't know how Detective Brannigan will be involved, but the original title card displayed her prominantly, so hopefully she'll still have a role.
I think, Bluebeard will try to take control of Fabletown. I really really want to cry him like in Comics.
I've been thinking about that. Over the past few days, I made a few posts saying that I thought Telltale were doing something similar to what Breaking Bad did, in terms of teasing Bigby in wolf form (in the preview for each episode) and gradually unveiling more of the scene until we reach the scene in episode 5 and we get the full context.
However, I've since seen one of the achievements for episode 3, and I do believe it's possible that I was wrong now and that we may indeed see Bigby in wolf form when it comes to episode 3.
Glamour market. Makes sense. Episode four title - "In Sheep's Clothing". It's achievements are different. Maybe Bigby will use glamour (to hide or investigate) and we'll play as... That would be interesting part.
Wait...how do you know Beauty ows the Tweedle's money? On another note, I'm afraid that Snow White is changing. She was a likable character before, and now she's angrier at everyone and more independent. I'm afraid she'll become someone bad.
Yeah... pretty much that.
Maybe the next girl dies while you "interrogate" crane. I am pretty sure there will be no new evidence or information about the real killer in the next episode. Crane doesn´t have anything to do with the killer and the crooked man probably neither.
Well what vexes me is: WHY do they put the heads in front of the Woodlands building. Clearly Faith was a mistake because the killer wanted Snow from the beginning (and Faith changed whoring schedules with the troll) but nonetheless dropping the heads there sends a message, like Bigby said in EP1 - therefore I guess it is still this headless rider tortouring Crane who is innocent besides his Snow fetish!
The only reason to put the heads there is to cause some kind of conflict or panic - but who could possible profit by this? (sorry I do not know the comics so if my theory does not make sense...)
She's pretty strong willed and even a little cold and distant when we first meet her in issue 1 of the comics. The snow white in episode 1 was out of her depth, felt shock at what she had witnessed and even expressed doubt at her ability to do the best job. Maybe this series is going to show her gradually become what we see of her in the comics?
I tortured Dee, He said something about Beauty. And I asked Beauty about Tweedles. She told me that money thing.
I initially thought Bigby's confrontation with Beast will make him turn into a werewolf, but that obviously wasn't the case. You may be right, about only seeing this form in episode 5, but I do hope we will see this form in the upcoming episode. And also, as you said, the achievment "Severe Case of Lycanthropy" shows what I think is Bigby's werewolf hand, and it's for completion of chapter 5, so it shouldn't be just a cliffhanger.
So, who took photos in room 207? Tweedledum?
The tarot cards at Crane's office always means something. I personally think it tells Crane's next move. In this particular episode, the symbolism of the tarot cards seem to point breaking Bigby's heart which I assume is by killing 'Snow'.
So:
First, we will run after Crane. But, I think he will run away. Snow will talk about something and probably we will explain it to her. She will get mad at everything. Then, we will deal with Georgie about Faith, after it we will deal with Dee or Woodsman who we arrested. Next, we'll deal with Snow and Bluebeard. Probably Bluebeard will try to take control of Fabletwon.
That's my very little theory.
He is not a werewolf, he is just a wolf glamoured to look human.
Wrong, he is a lycanthrope, and he doesn't need a glamour.
bigby doesn't use glamour
I don't know if anyone else noticed this in episode 2, but two other women wore ribbons and similarly said "my lips are sealed." I think the ribbons have some sort of magical property to them that keep people from talking. Talking directly anyway. Just a theory.
Another theory: Having played episode 2 twice (one with woodsman as prisoner, another with Dee), I noticed Crane being more lenient on Dee than Woodsman. We don't know much about Dum either. I think it's possible Dum could have been glamoured as Crane.
that´s what I am thinking about all day and it´s killing my brain xD The weird thing is that those 3 photos don´t really fit together. If someone would try to blackmail him with those photos the last picture would be enough. The one with bigby in it in the winter is the weirdest. It´s such an old picture. And is the first picture the real snow or Lily?
I feel like if we knew why the pictures were there we could actually start making theories about the killer. But like it is now we didn´t get a single bit further
Snow White isn't changing, she's acting like she's suppose to act. She's still a likable character and she's certainly isn't "Bad".
Except there is not Headless Rider.
Crane was the one that took those pictures, he was stalking Snow.
Snow White is not "A bitch", what are you talking about? And if it's about what happened at the start of the episode, then we do know why she's angry. She's angry because someone was being tortured. Being angry about that does not make her a "bitch".
Ok I feel so stupid know xD I kind of drew the conclusion that if crane took the pictures then he had to put them where they are o_O
Which clearly someone could have taken them from him and then place them there -.-
"Being bitch" is not being "hooker".
Well, I think same. He said "No violence" while I was torturing Dee. He really defended him. So, Dum is not glamoured as Crane. Crane hired Dum and Dee for investigation.
But you can see that's not true. Best theory about it is:
Crane bought black market Glamour. The man he bought was a Boss. And he is Crooked Man or someone else. And he is Dum and Dee's boss too.
Parden me for butting in but it is possible that Crane is being framed. The deliberate placing of the heads in Fabletown may be the trigger of a plot to discredit Crane. I personally think that the in the Crane is being framed, and it's not him in the picture, but someone glamored to look like him (just as the title of the episode sayis - Smoke and Mirrors). Bluebeard may have a hand in this, since the preview hints at him taking control of Fabletown.
Let's see:
It's way too obvious to let pictures, the book, and everything near the crime scene,
And he had no motives for Faith.
the pictures are sending a message. Could be taken by anyone. I don't think it's "innocent" that we see Bigby on one of the pictures.
I don't think Faith is really dead, don't ask me why. Just a feeling.
Blue Beard is obviously one of the primary suspect for now: as the "Next episode" seems to suggest, he's gonna be mayor, or a temporary mayor. = that's a motive.
And he's... Blue Beard, you know, the guy who used to kill tons of women.
But we may be too early in the whole series to think that he may be the real murderer.
Many people are hiding things from Bigby, and maybe Snow is hiding things too. (I just can't remember what she really did the night they found "her" head, i just remember a vague conversation about an emergency somewhere?)
The Adversary might be somewhere in the story - the real murderer.
The Farm may be involved at some point (Snow's sister) - and black market glamours could be very much of use for them.
It would be fun to have Bigby using a glamour illegaly to go there.
That note at the club, where Lilly thanks Faith for covering her shift, I found that suspicious. She goes back to the Pudding and Pie after her unfortunate encounter with the Woodsman, as her stuff being there proves. I think Lilly asked her to see one of her clients, and that's when she was murdered.
When was Lilly murdered, then? She was reported as missing for days, yet only now she appears dead and glamoured.
Rose Red not at Farm in timeline Wolf Among Us.
Or he could have left them there. I mean, he was the only one with a key to that room.
Sorry. I mean, the photo with Crane and Lilly.
