Grendel's Howl
First and foremost --ignoring Jack's presence, as I deemed him comparatively removed from the state of affairs post-disclosure-- Janet Lipsey's performance as Holly was well-executed and reasonably somber, given the atmosphere in The Trip Trap Bar, ergo hats off to her.
Preface shown the door with Jack, this is a Grendel-centric topic, detailing my thoughts on the scene-stealer:
I felt the volitional pressure delivered by Kid Beyond, line after line; I regretted, not only maiming him (a 'Book of Fables'-insured action), but generally thrashing him all over the joint, however warranted. He's a pathetic, wayward sum of his parts: from the poor posture, scuzzy gait, newfound apprehension of Bigby, helplessness, down to his 'flavor-saver,' this character garnered my sympathies most -- impoverished misery personified.
Any like minds out there?

Its 4am, english is not my first language, and theres lots of tough words in there, but if this is a Grendel appreciation thread, just look at my homemade avatar... I loved him in ep2.
English is my only language... And to be honest with you, I didn't really understand this post either.
Will OP explain what they mean?
I was specifically praising the character during the bar scene of the latest episode, but this also serves as an appreciation thread, for all intents and purposes.
Criminally underrated.
I agree, though personally I didn't maim him. Grendel acts like an asshole but you can tell that his behavior is borne from real frustrations with the system, and loyalty to his friends. My Bigby respects him for that at least.
I hope that in future episodes Grendel and Bigby can work together somehow, at least once. I think they could reach an understanding.
Oh I see. A Grendel Appreciation Thread. Yeah. Hes pretty cool, I feel sorta bad for ripping his arm off
At the very least, I'm glad I didn't dismember the guy. He reappeared sooner than I expected.
