Fabletown Hierarchy structure

edited February 2014 in The Wolf Among Us

I have a question about fabletown government system.are there only one person who take care each of official matters? like bigby for example,is he the only one who take care the matter of security? he doesn't have any staff to help him? the community is not that small right? if he has some extra law enforcer under his command,he can order them to take care one of those dilemmatic option between lawrence & toad ,I can see him as a potential fabletown police chief.also not many official worker is seen doing trivial task like delivering something or arranging documents, other than bufkin.does doctor swinehart have a group of nurse who can help him? or does snow is the only one who single handedly taking care all of the administration? hell, even crane as the mayor or top leader must get his hand dirty by bailing out wolf himself, can't he assign someone else? like one of those witches in the 13th floor,I'm sure they're more competent to do this task,no wonder he's suck at management

what do you guys think?

The community isn't big enough to warrant that much of a staff and they wouldn't be able to afford it anyways. They barely get by one the donations that Blue Beard makes. (along with some of the other Fables, but Blue Beard pays for the majority)

Also Crane did use the witches to cast the memory wipe spell, but they hardly ever leave the Woodland Apartments. You don't assign Frau Totenkinder's crew to do anything, you pay them. (Totenkinder is the leader of the witches/magicians and is scary as hell)

I'm not saying to form hundreds of staff,I'm thinking about assigning an extra 2-3 personnel for each department,it wouldn't be too costly to hire only about a dozen of worker or less, and can't they find any other funding source? other than donation? like having a business deal with a mundy companies? of course it will be restricted at some point, but a deal like that could help fabletown financially

yeah okay, maybe the witches will be like the intelligent operator here, but you know,it will be less risky and probably more efficient if crane just hire a decent skilled fable to be the field agent in bailing out bigby and secure the evidence

  • They can't even afford that. A dozen workers means a dozen new salaries. The donations are the only thing that lets them scrape by. They want to deal with Mundy's as little as possible. Protecting the community secret is priority #1.

In Crane's mind everyone around him is incompetent. So it only makes sense that he would handle something so serious himself.

wow, then no wonder they seem having a hard time to provide proper service to all fable, they're so narrowminded or conservative, and to make it all worse to have a leader that doesn't know how to find a solution, and too lazy in managing simple matters, but instead blaming it on his employees
