steam issues. downloading updates loop.

Need some help every time I've tried starting the game up, it does an update then nothing happens. Its an endless loop.

    Can you please clarify the issue? Steam will automatically update the game when you start the Steam Client. Are you unable to click the Play button? Does it crash when you launch the game? Do you receive any error messages?

    everytime i click the play it does a small update then nothing happens. click play again small update then nothing happens, ive repeated this process a dozen times nothing but an endless loop.

    now I'm getting an error message saying its missing executable.
