Thank You TellTale Games

Thanks to Mr. Stemmle and the rest writers in particular, you got the diologue right on the money as far as Im concerned, you "get it". I was worried about simplistic backdrops when I saw the first footage, but that concern was laid to rest quickly... Flotsom is a "Monkey Island" island alright, and the settings, clouds and design made this feel just like the other games.

Amazing (and I do mean amazing) twist beginning, typical monkey madness in the middle and a kick azz cliffhanger to cap it. That was truely outstanding, you have revived the unrevivable, I cant believe it...

Amazing game, way to go Telltale!

    Thanks Telltale!

You guys had me slightly worried when you announced the game. I had to keep telling myself. They're Telltale, half of them are fans or ex-LucasArts employees, they won't mess it up. And you guys definately didn't.

I had a blast playing through the first episode. It was longer then I expected. It kept going and going. The humor in the dialog was up to par and had me chuckling quite a couple of times. Also the visual gags had me smiling all the way through. I especially enjoyed the
very angry hand and poor seagulls being vacuumed up and spitted out
    .

The controls were a bit wonky at first, making me go 'uh-oh' when I first saw what you had done with the drag to walk method. But in the end it worked out fine and I wasn't bothered by it at all. I did use the keys a lot tho and tended to click my way from item to item, moving through the scenes.

The difficulty of the puzzles was just right. It had me stuck a few times but not often and it wasn't so easy I could just march through. Perfect! (Turned the hints off from the start btw, so I got no clue if that worked well)

I'm usually not a fan of 2d series going 3d. But you all pulled it off very nicely. It was 3d but played like a 2d adventure. Especially the interiors of
the scary shack and the doctors lab
were beautifull. Especially the depth of field
in the shack, with the scorpion up front
. Made me feel like I was playing 2d. Well done.

I had almost no issues whatsoever except for the dialog dropping out on a few occasions.
(Mainly the parrot staying silent while the subtitles showed he had to speak)
I'm on an old computer with a decent graphics card and could play the whole game fine on high 1440x900 resolution, quality 8 (9 was a bit too much)

The voice acting was excellent. Well done Dominic and all the others. You all did a great job. Especially also
    the voodoo lady
who sounded so close to the original actress of the series that I didn't even notice it was someone else.

I didn't like the dialog being changed from what I clicked on on screen to what was finally spoken but that was something they did in previous MI's as well. I thought it was funny there, dunno why I went like 'awww, shame they didn't work it out', here. It was something only the openingscene suffered from as well as a few of the very first talks.

All in all I had a great time playing so far and am eagerly anticipating the second one. You guys haven't stepped on my oldschool adventure heart, no you only kindled it again and set it back ablaze. Thank you so much.

    ps.
Shame you turned off the private pirates forum posting. I would've loved to read Dominic's response to playing the game. He was almost as much in the dark as all of us. But I figure he has as good a time as we did.

Don't let the critique I read here and there drag you down. Sure some people had issues or liked things done in a different way but that's always the case. Especially with something this highly anticipated.

    Thanks
