Good game! ...Chapter 2 release date?

Hi! :-)
Just want to say that I am impressed by the new Monkey Island - Chapter 1. It really had the "good old" feel and mood that the older MI games had/have. Veery pleasing to sit down and play a new MI game. Have been wanting that for a looong time. :-D

I am wondering about when the release of the next chapter in the Tales of MI series is due. Anyone know a date or month?

Greetings from a die hard Monkey Island fan,

Definitely August, since the releases are monthly. But I know nothing about a precise date. : P

Judging from previous Telltale releases, approximately a month from now. Some of their seasons have taken a two-month break between episodes 1 and 2 rather than the 1 month break between all others, but if I remember correctly they generally told you when that was happening.

So my guess is approximately one month from now, potentially two.

They said they don't expect a two month break this time, so it should be one. "Should" being the operative word, since there's no firm date yet.

    my guess is august 7th

    Thnx ! :-)
That's not too long to wait.

Played through Chapter 1 yet? If so, satisfied?
I had hoped it didn't end as soon as it did, but they made the break
    at a good point... :-D
    Agree?

I had seriously expected it to end a lot sooner :D Although I am sad that I played through it in one day (three sittings, about 4 hours all in all).
Next episode, I'm definitely going to turn hints off (turned them on for two puzzles) and NOT going to look into the hints forum (got a hint there that went something like "why don't you try to make him [van Winslow] turn the rope the other way?", which immediately led me to the solution).

Same here, absolutely amazing first chapter, I think.
    Thanks Telltale.
Hope the next chapter will be released in the early days of August.

About same as me then... approx. 4 hours of playing time.

But... 4 times 5 is 20, so if you wait until christmas and play the
chapters then, when they all are released, you get longer playing time.

same here. i never got stuck and had to look something up, but left the hints on which always led me to the solution. ep 2 i'm gunna play no hint and no lookups. maybe it'll last longer.

... which is, without doubt, the longest Monkey Island to date. Okay, it's a matter of how well you're picking up the puzzles, I remember not being able to finish Monkey Island 2 for literally TWO YEARS because me (and a friend of mine as well) just couldn't find the light switch when you crash down into the tunnels on Dinky Island.

    Hello,

I managed to play through it it roughly 4 hours. No hints used, lots of fun :)

Only the wait for the next Chapter is going to be torture. But at least I have the special Edition of MI1 to look forward to :)

The Riddle that took most of my time was boarding the ship (because of the way I play adventures).

    Very good first chapter :)

I was not impressed by the first chapter very easy not like CMI or EMI not at all challenging

The people complaining about this supposedly being easy seem to have forgotten that this is only the first fifth of the game...

Total of 20 hours approx. playtime. :-D
    Nice!

According to Wikipedia, August 9th, but I trust Wikipedia about as far as I can throw it... and since it is made of non-physical material, that is not very far.
