Well, it isn't completely up to TTG. Nintendo decides when to release games to best fit their schedule. I'm sure TellTale has already - or in the next few days - given Nintendo the file to upload on their service, but Nintendo can sit on it for as long as they want.
As for UK and US releases. WiiWare release dates are decided by the region so Nintendo of America doesn't decide when to release UK WiiWare games, whatever Nintendo's Europe based headquarters is does. That's why the download catalog for WiiWare and Virtual Console are really different between the US, UK, and Japan. So theoretically the UK can get it first.
It wouldn't come out in UK before NA...definitely.
i kinda hoped that the uk and american wiiware would share release schedules. Since we speak same language and you don't need to release it into retail or anything.
I think i'm going to just try and forget about tales of monkey island for a while, the wait is already killing me.
Well, the magazine says Autumn (which is quite vague, not a concrete date), but it also says "Tales of Monkey Island", not "Launch of the Screaming Narwhal". So maybe, since they can't say an exact date for every chapter, they have said an average date for all the series.
Oh thank God. My pc is so bad it can't handle the graphics (Even though they aren't too demanding. Says a lot about my pc ) and I can only otherwise get the wii version. I was terrified to think I'd have to wait until Autumn. Since summer ends the 1st of august, does that mean that it should be out by the end of the month?
Yeah dunno where that magazine got "Autumn." It will be decidedly "Summer."
Would it be possible to narrow it down just a 'bit'? I know that the Xbox 360 Monkey Island Special Edition comes out next week (which I feel would be even more awesome with Wii controls!) and wonder if we might expect 'Tales' around the same time?
Also, any word on whether Denny Delk will be involved in Tales in any capacity, specifically voicing Murray the Demonic Talking Skull?
I checked on the Wiiware shop today, and they have released a couple of other titles, but no monkey island!!!! I get the definite impression that this is Nintendo being awkward but it would nice to have a date... Looking at the other rubbish games on the shop, I'm surprised Nintendo aren't chomping at the bit to release this. What's the hold up?

If they're talking about the 5-episode series as a whole, and the first episode doesn't come out until late July or early August, then you might say that it's an Autumn series overall.
I've been ghosting in here to try and find out information about the wii release. Must admit, I and many others are getting frustrated, which is a great shame considering how anxious I was to play it! I even went on a mission to buy the game from my local store at the weekend (went in several stores looking for it as I assumed the 7th July was a global release date).
The above link is apparently bad information posted by IGN, seems like we Europeans are getting neglected.

You won't find it in stores for at least another six months, probably more. It's online only until all the episodes have been released.
Comments
I'll post a scan of the magazine in a second.
It could. Nintendo is pretty unpredictable with it's online releases.

i'm hoping so, i'm pretty sure nintendo didnt have that much in the way of gaps with strongbad releases.
Weeks i can live with but months...
oh well, i like the 'most welcome return' badge though

Thanks for letting us know on this, had quite the scare when i first saw this in the magazine.
Is the game will be out at the same date in Europe than in the USA ?
Is the chapter 1 on Wii WAre will be out on Wii Ware before chapter 2 out on PC ?
I hope the next week...

This is from my Son's Nintendo Power magazine (US) I knew it was in there because he excitedly pointed it out to me last night.
Sorry about not having my scanner hooked up because its been acting all stupid but I took a picture with my camera.
