I feel really sorry for writing this, but: Die in a fire.

In fact, there are many customers who actually would love to play the game, but can't.

The OP is probably trolling, but the topic of the thread is interesting.

    Desktop:
    • Core 2 Quad Q9300 2.5 GHz
    • 3.25 GB of RAM
    • GeForce 8600GT with 256 MB of VRAM
    • Windows XP SP2
    Results:
    • 1680x1050, level 9 => too slow
    • 1280x800, level 5, 6 or 7? (I don't have the machine at hand right now) => Playable
Laptop: MacBook Pro 1st gen, second batch.
    • Core Duo 2.0 GHz
    • 2 GB of RAM
    • Radeon X1600 with 128 MB of VRAM
    • OS X 10.5.7, Crossover 7.1
    Results:
    • 1440x900; level 3 (the max for that config) => smooth FPS, but I have other technical problems.

Well I wouldn't really say that is trolling :S That would definitely be recommended :P But it runs fine on my laptop which doesn't even have a proper graphics card. Have to run it on graphics detail 1 and windowed but it's definitely playable and still looks great!

I don't think the people that can't play this game have actually tried turning it right down to 1 and playing it windowed on the lowest res...

    E6850 core 2 duo 3.0ghz
    4GB RAM
    Vista Home Premium 64
    2.0TB RAID5 (so 1.4TB usable space)
    GeForce 9600 GSO 768MB

Game runs like butter at 1440x900 (monitor native) level 9.

I'm runninh TMI on an anchient PC, don't know what the fuss is about!

AMD Athlon XP 2700+ 2.17 GHz
    1GB RAM
    Windows XP Service Pack 2
NVIDIA 5 series 128MB GFX Card

Running it at the lowest settings, 640 x 480 Quality lvl 1. Still looks ok to me & runs smooth. No crashing, slow down, nothing. Totally happy with Telltales specs for the game.

Probably looks at least better than MI1 ;-)

By the way, you can have awesome Antialiasing without using any GPU power. Just cover your Display with hairspray.
(I am not responsible for any damage caused by that ridiculous proposal)

I run it on the lowest settings too, it runs smooth so I don't really mind. It doesn't look half bad on a small laptop monitor. ;)

    core 2 duo @ 2.61ghz
    3gb DDR2 Memory
    HD4850 512mb GPU
    Windows XP Pro SP3 32-bit

at 1440x900, runs perfectly on level 9.

gpu seems to be the primary factor for this game. ran on another system with a 2.5ghz dual core, 4gb ram, vista 32-bit, but intel gma 3100 integrated graphics. just about playable on setting 1/2 at a lower resolution :/

Well their games are not very visually demanding on most computers... their "low" graphics settings turn off most of the bells and whistles that make the games pop

their games have 2 system requirements... the minimum, and the recomended...

... Their current published Minimum? (from the strong bad DVD case) Windows XP/Vista, 1.5 GHZ processor, 512 MB of ram, 64MB accelerated video card, directX 9.0C, and around 700MB - 1.5GB of HD space (depending on the series)

... Recommended? (at least from me) up those numbers a bit to at least 1GB of ram, 512MB accelerated video card, and a 2Ghz processor... with those numbers, you should be able to run full quality no problem... anything more is overkill

looks like an entirely different game on a low setting/resolution compared to the 9 setting on 1280x720 or above, to be completely fair.

Same with me (1,73 GHz processor, Intel on board graphics chip). I set the resolution to 600x800 and the quality to 1. Runs fine and still looks great. I even don't have to run it windowed.

Wow an intel graphics chipset still can pull the game, must be one of the newer ones (aka 855 or so), speaking of lowest speed, Intel solidly has delivered that the last years, I am amazed that there are still games which the Intel graphics processors can pull (even on the lowest setting)

I tried psychonauts on one of those beasts a while ago and it was more or less a slideshow (but it was one of the atom based 850 processors, which is really the absolute low end graphics decellerator from intel)

Maybe so, but definitely not for this game - it (and, as another recent game, Street Fighter 4 with graphics maxed) runs at a constant 60 FPS with a Radeon 4850 and a Core 2 Quad 9450 here...

np: The Cool Kids - 88 (The Bake Sale)

sure yeah i know it wouldnt be for this game, my post was just kind of a retaliation because the op seemed to make this thread just to boast about his awesome pc so i had to point out that it wasn't that awesome!
