GoT Crashes when looking for new DLC

I am having an issue whereby Game of Thrones crashes with no warning or error message once it gets to the point on startup that it searches for new downloadable content.

I bought the game directly from Telltale so this is not the Steam version.

I have the most recent version of Directx installed. The only difference I can see is this has been happening since I upgraded to Windows 10.

I have already played both seasons of Walking Dead without issue and Game of Thrones was working just fine before the upgrade.

I'm having the same issue with Tales From the Borderlands.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Thanks!

I had this issue with TftB, contact support. But if you are tech nutty enough you can just edit the game config to launch in windowed mode and you should be able to login with your telltale account and that will stop the crashes.

Even if you edit the config I would contact support anyways and give them info on this(they have a tool for collecting system info and game crash data) as it seems to be a reoccuring issue and it would be great if this were fixed.

  • For assistance with your problem, feel free to consult the Telltale Games Support Center. From there, you can search for the solution to your problem depending on what game you are playing as well as the platform you are playing on.
