TFtB Crashes when searching for new DLC

I am having an issue whereby Tales from the Borderlands crashes with no warning or error message once it gets to the point on startup that it searches for new downloadable content.

I bought the game directly from Telltale so this is not the Steam version.

I have the most recent version of Directx installed. The only difference I can see is this has been happening since I upgraded to Windows 10.

I have already played both seasons of Walking Dead without issue and Tales from the Borderlands was working just fine before the upgrade.

I'm having the same issue with Game of Thrones

Is anyone else having this issue?
