A couple of different Wii questions

Hi there,

I was just wondering if there is any possibility of seeing some screenshots of the Wii version soon as it'd be nice to be able to compare it to the PC version. I for one am looking forward to seeing what you are able to squeeze out of the Wii - especially considering the limited space you have to play with in WiiWare titles.

Also, are there going to be multiple control setups for WiiWare like the PC version, or is it going to be nunchuck and remote only?

Kind regards,

Phil

So it looks as though there's at least another week to wait until we see the release. Any info to tide over a fan trying not to cave in and play the game on his painfully slow laptop?

(yes I realise I'm being impatient)

    :p

Yeah, it didn't come out today, but fear not! We have modern classics such as... *takes a peek at some new WiiWare titles* Drill Sergeant Mindstrong, Reel Fishing Challenge and Eduardo the Samurai Toaster to tide us over.

Hm. I dare say Tales of Monkey Island's presence will really brighten up the WiiWare joint when episode one is released.

... Eduardo the Samurai Toaster ...

Like, an appliance toaster, or he's a half-Spanish samurai who's the president of his chapter of Toastmasters International?

LOL! Living in the UK I have some different quality titles to look forward to. Our latest WiiWare 'modern classics' include 5 Spots Party and Karate Phants: Gloves of Glory.

    I think I'll save my points :p

Here's another Wii question - point and drag to move (Wiimote only) like on the PC, and the (optional) Nunchuck stick to move too?

Nunchuck is supported on the Wii! Point and click too!

I'm trying not to get my hopes too high here - do you mean point and click is used in combination with the nunchuck or *crosses fingers* the Wii supports a point and click control scheme (like Strong Bad etc)?

Possibly a combination! After all, a toaster is a toaster, no matter how... samurai-esque or toasty. :)

Actually, Eduardo the Samurai Toaster had better have a nightmarish clown, or at least Crazy Ernie's Amazing Emporium of Total Bargain Madness as a level.

Haha! That sounds like a plan.

And, Kevin, may I please sample your fingers?

My guess is, if you set your screen resolution to 640x480, and the graphics level to 1, you'll probably see something remarkably close to what the Wii screenshot will look like...

You're probably right, although I would imagine there would be differences in textures and perhaps effects.

I think the most interesting question is probably that of control scheme/s. As unlikely as it is Kevin's comment has given me a glimmer of hope for point and click controls :D
