My thoughts on the game (copied from my Reddit post)
Game of the year. Best fucking game I've played in many years I would say. Yes, I liked this game honestly that much. Best Telltale game and one of the best games I've played ever. My words just can't describe how good I thought the game was.
I've said this day after day and day after day that I loved the game and still it feels like I can't justify the game by words. I loved personally this game so much. Games have become a huge turnoff me since last year because of famous releases and horrible, lazy and unfinished games like Watch Dogs, Unity, etc. And that games are slowly just starting to not care about campaign (MGSV had literally in my opinion one of the worst stories in the series; Halo 5 having one of the worst campaigns in the series; Rainbow Six not having a campaign; Battlefront not having a campaign; Titanfall not having a campaign, etc) it just makes me angry because I love campaigns and story driven games, and Telltale is the best fix for me. Even if choices don't matter, the writing for their games is still, in my opinion, amazing. Not that they didn't, Tales from the Borderlands was the game where it felt like they did matter. A stupid game on face you pick on Episode 1 decides what game on face you use as Rhysquez (I think?) and that's good.
I hardly doubt any game will come this year to take Tales from the Borderland's place. I loved the game that much.
After how amazing this game is, I don't care whatever Telltale does next, I'll support them either way. Of course, I am wishing for Tales from the Borderlands: Season Two, but still, whatever they do, I'll love this company. They've definitely become my current favorite gaming company.

i think i get where you are coming from, believe it or not, call of duty used to be the gaming equivalent of band of brothers or saving private ryan, but then it turned into... you know.. what it is now, so i understand your dismay at modern AAA (like most of them) games when it comes to the care put into a single player campaign, for me the revitalisation of brilliant stories and emphasis on care for that story came back with TWD season 1, but i agree that TFTB is reinforcement that telltale really care about the the game as a whole, i mean, i know some people have had problems with the performance of TFTB, and i can't justify that in any way, but i do think that TFTB shows that telltale really cares about our experience as a player of their games, and to me that means a lot.
I was super surprised that Rhys' "Game Face" in episode 1 decides what game face he has in episode 4.
Ah, you put it in words. I felt like you took them straight from my mouth. Definitely not in a gross way, I swear.
