PS3 TWD S2 - save files disappeared - fix?
hello all,
i have a problem here and hope that this bug has been fixed by now. As i can see i´m not alone with this problem. The forum here is full of threads and posts with more or less the same save issue. And this is not only since yesterday. Some call it a bug or a glitch. I call it a "no-go". How is it not possible to fix save issue this in the last years?! We have now November 2015. People still having this issue. sigh
To specify my problem:
I´m on PS3, latest firmware installed.(4.76)
I bought TWD S1 as a retail version and played it through multiple sessions. Saving hasn´t been a problem.
After that, i bought Season2. On the start, i was asked if i would like to import save from Season 1. Which i confirmed with yes.
Now, what i noticed is, that my save file was saying "the walking dead: Season1 , Episode 2" Why Episode 2? I played the whole game trough?! Where are my Episode 3,4,5?
So, i imported this save file. And begun to play Season 2, Episode1 and Episode 2 in a row. After finishing Episode 2, i saw in the main menu, that episode 2 was marked as"new" even if i just played it though and the save files, which i had, just gone. So i tried to start Episode 2 again, and it says, that decision would be generated.
That is so frustrating. Yesterday, i finished playing Season2 Episode 5. I had to lay every Episode with randomly generated decisions, because apparently my save file were corrupted and had been restored.
Telltale, will there ever be a fix for this?
How it is possible to release a second season of a unfinished game with the same problems like in the first season? I mean, The walking dead has a beautiful screenplay and story, one of the main key that makes the games so unique is the "desicision-based-storyplay". But everything becomes worthless, if all the saves files keep on disappearing and the only way to play the game is one randomly generated decision. This really pointless and really sucks.
It makes it not really fun to look forward for Season 3.
