Bloodsong's Ethnicity?

As the title suggest, I'm somewhat confused about the ethnic origin of Bloodsong (that guy Asher fights in the pit fighters arena) as he appears to have oriental looking features, which I don't recall ever seeing in any character within the TV series. However I do wonder if he perhaps descends from the Empire of Yi Ti, located in the far uncharted east of Essos - and if so then would that make Bloodsong the first ever on-screen character in Game of Thrones to have originated from that region (or where his ancestors came from)?
