Am I the only one that went for Rodrik ?!

Reading all of you, I swear I have no idea what you guys are talking about. It goes a long way to show how incredible this episode is, by the way.

I went for Rodrick, and there was no ambush, no diner, no Gwyn. We sneaked up on Ludd in his camp outside Ironrath to kill him, all the while leaving Rion to die at the end of Gryff, because greater good etc, and then we made an epic last stand on Ironrath. When Ludd came at my walls, I simply said "Fuck you, Ludd".

I felt like that after Episode 5. The game told me 42% saved Rodrik, but I did begin to wonder if they forgot to put a decimal point between that number.

Still, Rodrik's been my favourite character since the moment he was introduced. And the fact he survived the Ice Dragon is the only reason, I'm quite content with it. That, and the satisfaction of shouting: "As Lord of Ironrath, Defender of the Ironwood Groves, I SENTENCE YOU TO DEATH!"

And then ripping Gryff's head off. I also loved his last stand before Royland swooped in to save the day.

So no, you are not the only one who went for Rodrik :D

  • Nope, I went from rodrik too.

  • EXACTLY

    THIS IS TOO GOOD

  • Solid #TeamRodriktheUnbroken right here! I love Asher too and enjoyed my alternate save with him but Rodders is the ultimate bamf.

  • I went for Rodrik! As much as i loved Asher.. Rodrik is one of my favourite characters Telltale has ever made!!

  • I always liked Rodrik more.

If you like badass character - Asher is definitely your choice. In my first playthrough, at the end when the Whitehill's bowman aim his bow to my face, you have 3 dialogue option, 1 of them is "Not in the face !!!", the most badass moment in video games history by far, at least I think so !!!

If you like traditional character - then Rodrik is your candidate.

  • I see Rodrik as a badass too. That guy can take a sword through him and still live to see another day.

  • I personally like Asher's story a lot more, but 45% of players had the same story as you (I like both stories, but Asher's is just more fitting in every way in my opinion)

  • Asher did that too, in the last episode, and do not forget his armor is much weaker than Rodrik !!!

But Rodrik survive when everyone think he was already dead 2 times, 1 in the 1st ep, 2 in the last ep !!!

So :D The choice is yours !!!

I don't know why we keep getting " Ami the only one" threads. You are never the "only one" in a forum community.

Now to answer the question, I have two playthroughs. My canon playthrough is where Rodrik lives. Also just to throw this in: I killed Gryff instead of Ludd. I felt Rodrik killing Gryff felt more appropriate and satisfying than killing Ludd.

  • BEST FRIEND IS RAMSAY

I laughed way too hard at this.

  • I was with Rodrik. I think he had better plans than Asher

  • I have to agree. Even though I think killing Ludd is the smarter move, Gryff is by far the most satisfying to kill after looking at every scenario with Asher and Rodrik.

  • I knew Asher was coming to Westeros to die.

    It was always about Roderik.

That's because it is a figure of speech.
