LeChuck's Body: Where Did It Come From ?

something else to think about is LeChuck's actual body. i mean, he goes from being a ghost in MI1, to a resurrected decaying corpse in MI2, to a flaming demon in MI3 and 4. so now, in MI5, where did this new, perfectly healthy human body come from ? we found out in MI2 that LeChuck can't be brought back to life per se, but he can be resurrected w/ a "living" part of him (his beard). but now, suddenly, he has a brand new body just as if he had not been dead and buried for years in the first place.

Well naturally, Guybrush had to sail 6 of the 7 major seas to assemble it after all.

We actually never see what happened to his corpse at the end of MI2.
If the whole LeChuck being a kid under the corpse thing was just an illusion for Guybrush, what was to stop his Demon form re-inhabiting his zombie corpse after MI4?

but we did see how LeChuck killed himself at the begining of CoMI^^

    A wizard did it.

Wait a minute, that actually makes sense in this context.

    It was magic.

    Isn't it obvious?

When Guybrush and LeChuck held the Cutlass of Kaflu, Guybrush took on some of LeChuck's evil and zombie-ness. While LeChuck took some of Guybrush's humanity. Obviously this is a fairly uneven exchange, so far Guybrush isn't a full demon-zombie and a lot of LeChuck's evil voodoo mojo is floating in the air, but it's obvious to me that this new LeChuck form is simply our LeChuck taking on the humanity of Guybrush.

To what extent that affects both of our characters, we'll have to see. The reaction seems much stronger in LeChuck, while Guybrush only has one evil hand and occasionally takes on LeChuck's antisocial traits. We have few hints as to what is going on in LeChuck's now-living brain, but I'd suspect something has changed.

To me the question is: isn't he quite handsome now? More than Guybrush, anyway?

I'm wondering this, too. What did Elaine mean by 'Woof'??

We all know how LeChuck has being turned into human shape. I think it's pretty evident by just seeing what happens at the end of the prologue scene.

I think the question would have to be, concerning the prologue section, why was he being depicted in his greeny-zombie form Monkey Island 2 and the first chapter of The Curse of Monkey Island (before the vodoo cannon ball explosion), considering that his default shape was now the demon-flame form.

But then again, he was able to sitch into all his different shapes in Escape from Monkey Island (including an awfully designed representation of the greeny-zombie form), so it shouldn't be an important question either. He even says, when questioned, that the external appearance is not that important.

Perhaps because the demon-flame form does not sit well on a ship full of gunpowder?

Handsome as a girl using her mother's wig as a beard.

Duh, Lechuck became human and Guybrush got the zombie hand. I reckon by number 5 Guybrush will be a full blown zombie, that's how he gets resurrected after his execution.

Wait wait wait, I though LeChuck's EMI form was a politician.

Also, isn't everyone forgetting the biggest mystery of them all? Where did LeChuck get that flower?

He picked it from Chuck the plant, of course!

    More like disguise.

When he reveals up, he spends the most time as flaming demon, with a couple of revertings to the other two forms.

Hate to say it, but I agree with you. But I liked him when he looked monster-ish, I'm just a bit odd that way. He does look decent, though, I assumed he'd be a really ugly human.

Maybe LeChuck got some of Guybrush in trade for Guybrush getting some of lechuck.

I have this feeling that in the next Episode, it might be the whole of Guybrushs arm that i corrupted instead of just his hand :)

I really like the idea of a resurrected LeChuck being a good man. A finale in which a good LeChuck willingly sacrifices his humanity and goodness to save the Caribbean (by reabsorbing the pox and returning to his evil undead state) could be quite affecting, but I doubt that the series will go in this direction.

Whatever happens, I'm sure that Telltale will give us a thrilling adventure. Episode 2 can't arrive soon enough! :D

ah man could you imagne that. liek you play as a evil zombie guybrush. the pox slowly taking over his body and guybrush hasto get to the sponge in time. if i can take you back to monkey island 3 on blood island the ghost bride tells you that she fell in love with le chuck and he was very handom ect. i guess that is what were seeing now

    Voodoo. Next question?

I'd love to see this play out... more and more of Guybrush being taken over by LeChuck's evil. Personally I'd like to see him become mostly LeChuck-ish (maybe just Guybrush's cunning hair staying :D) when he gets executed. Then he'd somehow be able to come back to life as has been previously mentioned. Then I'd like to see a switch to the mostly Guybrush (but maybe just the completely digusting hair of LeChuck staying) Lechuck with Elaine. Elaine has at that point fallen in love with LeChuck and in the middle of a romantic scene LeChuck switches voice roles (and minds) with Guybrush, therefore showing that almost all of Guybrush has entered LeChuck's body. Guybrush in the body of LeChuck sees that he doesn't have much time to get the sponge because he doesn't want to be trapped in LeChuck's body. Move back to the body of Guybrush and see that he is mostly LeChuck now, including his voice and mind that has now changed. LeChuck realizes he doesn't want to be stuck in Guybrush's wimpy body and decides to also search for the sponge. A funny scene to lift the mood a bit could be them realizing they could read each other's thoughts. It would show their reactions, etc. A challenging puzzle would allow you to switch back and forth playing as both people trying to find the sponge until they meet up with each other and team up to find it. It would be really cool in my opinion to see two enemies work together. Eventually they find the sponge in the nick of time before the transformation is complete, etc.

Well that wasn't confusing at all, was it? xD That's how I'd like episode 5 to go.

But if Guybrish turns into a zombie and LeChuck is a human... Does that mean we have to play with LeChuck solving puzzles and Threepwood being the main villain?

But she did kind of pause before she told him to finish LeChuck off ... although she could have been considering if it was still right to kill LeChuck now that's he Human.
