Asher & Rodrik Recovery Time?

So obviously both Asher and Rodrik suffer serious injuries in Episode 6 -- but how long do you think it will take for them to make a real recovery? Realistically, they'd be dead of course, so we can't be realistic about it... But I hope it won't take any longer than a single episode, two at the most.

I saved Rodrik, so I'd rather not have a repeat of his Season 1 storyline. It would be more interesting in Asher's case -- seeing him experience the same ordeal Rodrik went through, and how he copes with it. But for us 40% or whatever it is now, the prospect of playing mortally wounded Rodrik, AGAIN, isn't massively appealing. And surely, Telltale realizes that?

So yeah, how long does everyone think it will take, before Rodrik and Asher have recovered?

  • When the plot says so

People have survived such injuries before, although the chances remain slim I believe. It would also take a long time to recover from such a injury, maybe even longer of a ordeal than what Rodrik went through before. This is why I think they might not even be playable characters if they do survive sadly. I really wanted to continue playing as Asher.

  • This was my biggest concern after episode 6 - it would be cheap and boring to have to play as a recovering Rodrik again.

Honestly, I think there'll be at least a small time skip between the seasons (maybe from a week to a month?) in which Torrhen will arrive, everything will settle down slightly and Asher/Rodrik will mostly recover. It would also give Gared time to march south and have to fall back, or for a siege to mount at the North Grove, tying up the two ends of that choice...

  • If they do show Rodrik/Asher recovering in Season 2 (which they shouldn't), it will probably be one episode, two at the most. But, I think that the story for The Battle of Ironrath refugees will focus more on Talia, and she'll probably be the p.o.v character in that situation. There might be mention of him in episode one, but I think he'll be absent for the first episode, maybe making a cameo at the end. I think that by the end of episode two, Rodrik/Asher will be recovered, if not 100%.
