Is Gared Tuttle the Azor Ahai of House Forrester?
Let me clarify, Gared is not Azor Ahai who is destined to save Westeros from ice zombies, what I actually mean is to ask if Gared Tuttle is the savior of House Forrester.
Considering that Jon Snow saw some of himself in Gared Tuttle, and the obviously important decision regarding the North Grove that Gared is charged with making on behalf of House Forrester, he is the only POV in the game to venture into supernatural territory and might just have an idea that winter is coming.
With the Whitehills now the de-facto winners of their war against the Forresters (since they now occupy Ironrath), and Mira more or less dead, only Gared's storyline maintains a glimmer of hope for the Forresters.
He can either use the allies he's found in the North Grove to march back to Ironrath and finish off the Whitehills with a supernatural force to be reckoned with - or stay beyond the Wall to guard the North Grove (which will be difficult without dragon-glass). Either way the finale seemed to suggest that Gared is destined to take part in something greater than himself, and that his decisions will have major consequences upon the destiny of House Forrester, perhaps more so than others despite not being a Forrester himself.
A lot of beloved characters will die in Season 2, but what do you think will be Gared's role? Can he save House Forrester?

I do not think he is a secret Forrester or anything, but in his soul, he is probably the most loyal and the most important "Forrester" at the moment. Men like him do not come often! He seems to carry a zeal and loyalty not many have and work to the end for his lords house. I like that in a person. That undying loyalty who never falter. I think he is the most important card right now and a card no one knows is coming in anyway. The Whitehills are clearly not prepared for this what so ever. They think Gared was just another useless militia man at Ironrath who managed to kill some soldiers of theirs. Black magic is bad but black magic used to kill the wicked is good! ;
Yes it certainly seems to be looking that way. In an ideal world, my Gared would have found a way to eventually use the North Grove's power(s) to help defeat the Whitehills once and for all. He would then be awarded Lordship over the now vacant Whitehill lands and marry Mira, thus officially and legally making him a part of the Forester family. Oh and I am aware that this scenario is far fetched and would never happen....but there you go =p.
I have a horrible feeling that everyone's loveable, caring, honourable and totally badass hero..........is going to be killed in a typical self sacrificing way. ------------>I really really hope that this never ever ever happens!
Who knows? Maybe Garred will meet some Children of the Forrest and they'll give him dragon-glass. Or maybe he finds Bloodraven's valyrian sword Dark Sister.
