Did Mira's story line even matter?
I know she stops Andros and the sellsword army, but Ironrath was lost anyway. So even if Mira didn't stop Andros, Ironrath would've already been lost. And if you choose to marry Morgryn, that's a whole new can a problems that's been opened up for the Forresters. Morgryn will own Ironrath since no one believes that Rodrik/Asher are alive.

Well she secures Rodrik's betrothal if she forged the letter, for whatever that's worth. In addition, Ludd has significantly fewer soldiers thanks to her. And if she is executed, she keeps Ironrath out of the hands of yet another upjumped thief who wants to take her family's home.
Her arc was pretty messy overall, but I think that is the point. She was a Northern girl trying to save her house using Southron guile, which failed for her in the end. I thought it was fitting, my Mira screwed up all the time and lost many allies but died with her dignity.
But if you choose the Ironwood dialogue Rodrik wins the betrothal with Elaena even if Mira didn't forge the letter.
Yes, but then you don't have to bribe her with Ironwood.
But if Mira hadn't stopped Andros, there would have probably been no survivors at all. Just a few more men at the gates and Asher's/Rodrik's horse would have been killed aswell, Talia and the traitor/sentinel wouldn't have made it out either, nor Beskha and Ryon.
Other than that, her storyline was pretty detached from the story, and I didn't like it much if I'm honest.

Mira, Mira, Mira... I wanted to care about her and feel invested in her story, I really did, but I just couldn't. I never got much of an idea of her personality in the way I felt I got to know everyone else and a lot of why I allowed her to die too was because I didn't trust that I'd be allowed to mess with and manipulate Morgryn in the way I would want to. If she hadn't prevented Ludd getting more soldiers I feel that Rodrik/Asher would have just formulated a different plan, which really they did anyway since Rodrik went to the Whitehill camp and Asher did whatever he ended up doing for people with Gwyn. Maybe if we could have had more of an idea of Mira's relationships with her family members I would have felt more for her, but as it is I never felt like she was given the opportunity to do much to help or why it would mean much to her. With Asher for example, he hadn't been home or seen everyone in years either, but I understood what he was about and why he cared and with him we at least had the story about Ethan and the miller's boy and if you saved Rodrik, the one about them sneaking out and drinking. Mira however was just a giant question mark from beginning to end and I'm not going to miss her and I feel badly about it but it's what it is.
I love Mira and her story. So yeah I think it mattered.

Yes, but probably in the longer term compared to the other storylines. Remember that if Margaery is found innocent of Cercei's accusations she becomes the de facto ruler of Westeros. Having Mira alive and in her favor could be a huge game-changer for the Forresters come season 2, when the canon GoT story has presumably moved on a little bit.
A lot of things could change before then. For one thing, the Whitehills' shoddy craftmanship is eventually going to lose them a lot of favor with both the Boltons and the Crown, neither of whom give a damn about however many centuries of loyal service despite Ludd's boasts. Having someone at court to continue negotiating for the Forresters is paramount. And if Tom is one of Varys' boys then Mira could potentially play a role in his plans of covertly backing Daenarys, with whom the Forresters have just opened up another connection through Malcolm.
In a way you could say the same about Gared. After returning to Ironrath in the first episode nothing he does even remotely helps the Forresters. He and Mira are both set up to play more important roles in season 2, potentially even more important than Rodrick's and Asher's stories in season 1, and if the tv series' plot has progressed significantly by then then we just don't know under what conditions the rest of the feud is going to play out.
I dont think her story is over yet. When whats left of her family hears what happened to her, there will be hell to pay.
Despite Mira being disconnected from her family, I thought her story was the most interesting of the Forresters. It shows that there doesn't have to be violence for situations to get intense. I would like to believe her story isn't over even though I got her killed in my playthrough.
For me this question doesn't have a straight forward yes or no answer. On the one hand I think that Mira was not a pointless character and her being at Kings Landing was not pointless. However I think the writers and producers let Mira down, they could've tried harder to show us the bonds between Mira and the family members she is risking her own safety to protect. One instance of this is when they kill Ethan and Mira never mentions him once, there is no reaction to her finding out the news from her mother, we the player are left to assume that her mother told her what had happened in one of her letters. When Margeary is bleating on about how Mira is making problems for her and not being very loyal, Mira was never given the option to remind Margeary that Ethan through no fault of his own or his families was brutally killed and that she will do anything to avoid the same fate befalling another member of her family!
Everyone always goes on about how Rodrik is soooooo strong and to be fair he is, but what about Mira? She was all alone at KL with no family members around for support. If Rodrik falls down or something goes wrong there was always someone there to pick him up and reassure him in some way. What did her family ever do to help Mira? If anything they put her in even more danger! Mira ask Margeary for help. Mira ask Margeary to help us secure Rodrik's betrothal. They keep going on about how the ironwood is important, the ironwood is their livelihood, the ironwood is their only bargaining chip, how they have the best crafters. Yet it's only Mira who seems to really try to use this to the families advantage. Ok so Ethan offers ironwood to Ramsay Snow in an attempt to appease him and Rodrik offers Eleana's family half of the ironwood if she agrees to the marriage, but it is only Mira who thinks to strike a deal with the highest authority in the land! Say what you like about Sera, but at least she was useful once. Not only does Mira try to strike an alliance with the Crown by negotiating a deal in which the Foresters not only provide the Crown ironwood, but are the ONLY people the crown will buy ironwood from. She essentially makes it so that the Whitehills are unable to sell to the Crown! Sure they could sell it to other houses, but even then there would be limited demand. If they wanted to sell to the Crown they would have to go through the Foresters. This would mean that the they would need the Foresters. Or like Tyrion said it could just make matters worse.
I think they have mainly focused a lot on Talia, because they think a lot of people are expecting Talia to become Arya the second. It seems that some fans of the show didn't like Sansa's character because she pretty much tried to appease those around her instead of killing people left right and centre. A lot of people preferred Arya's character because they felt like she at least was trying to fight back against her enemies. So I think they neglected Mira because they expected that people wouldn't like her as much because they preferred more kick ass protagonists.
The only reason they gave us Mira was as a selling point. Hey look you get to play a character in KL and interact with show characters such as Cersei, Tyrion and Margeary! Besides they couldn't really sell it as a GOT game without having KL in there.
