The fate of Rodrik/Asher in season 2...

So I really really hope they don't kill off or get rid of the brother who lives. I know being determinant means they are more or less screwed with Telltales track record but I hope not.

What I would like to see is Rodrik/Asher being turned into an important NPC who is leading the Forresters. But we will play as like Talia, and Ryon while Rodrik/Asher recovers as much as they can. Then maybe in the last episode have them be a surprise POV character and take down the Whitehills. Doing it this way would also limit the amount of dialogue they need to write for the characters. Since it would be a lot to recorded a lot of dialogue twice with two actors that 50% of players will never her on of them....

  • I doubt they'll kill the brother off. After losing three of our protagonists last season and Gared being so far away it would turn the entirety of season one into a Shaggy Dog Story. Playing as Talia even when Royland/Duncan/Gwyn are there makes me scared it'll fall into the same trap Walking Dead season two had.

  • I hope you get to play as one of the brothers.

  • I'll be really annoyed if they become an NPC. I'll be even more annoyed if they die too early.

  • Still believe there wont be a season 2

  • Season 2 has been confirmed...

  • Killed in the first ten 10 minutes of episode 1.

    Twd style :v

  • Yep, probably shot by a Whitehill soldier named Micholle who finds Talia's bow while she is taking a leak.

  • Talia wakes up and walks through the Wolfswood. She later find a bear named Shadow that tried to eat her food bites her arm. She ends up killing him out of mercy. ;(

  • As Talia moves on, she has a huge amount of blood loss, while the Whitehill soldiers are approaching Talia, almost killing her. But 2 brave heroes save her, Gared and Sylvia. who are bringing her to their camp.

  • Gared carries Talia that presentes herself (lets just say that Gared had amnesia). Gared notices Talia's HUGE bite and drops her:

    • She's bit! She's bit!

    • What of it? o.O - says Sylvi

    • I- I don't know!

They keep going and Talia passes out.

  • ''It's a bite from a dog, not a filthy Whitehill!'' Talia said as the woke up, later at the Cabin. Ortengryn the doctor looks at the wound.

''It could be from anything, let's put her in the shack for the night'' Ortengryn said.

Talia was locked in the shack, but managed to find a way out. Going into the Shack she searches for supplies.

From a plot perspective, there is only so much mileage one can get from a determinant point of view character. The dialog would become ever more contrived and unworkable. Telltale might want to experiment with forking GoT Season 2 or some later product into different continuities as a possible solution, somewhat like Doctor Who products do. Or it might not.

Still, we are talking about the surviving adult heir of House Forrester,so their odds are better than average. It is possible that they will be killed or otherwise disposed of early in S2, but I think demotion to prestige NPC is even more likely a fate. Either would work great as a source of flavor sayings in the future.

As for the future POV characters, we will of course see more of Gared, not necessarily as a POV character. A timeskip is very likely to happen and promote Talia and Ryon into POV characters. Malcolm is all but sure to return, and either him or a close associate will likely become a new POV as well. And I am rooting for a Whitehill POV as well - either Gwynn (not sure if she survived), her Maester brother or the youngster that we only had a glimpse of.

Of course, there are is also the couple of brothers with Gared. There is no good reason why they can't become POVs as well. Then there are Morgryn and Tom, who never quite revealed who are those people he knows and who may react in surprising ways to Mira's fate.

Come to think of it, the timeframe of S2 will likely involve that time when the Ironborn were venturing into the North and Jon Snow had to deal with Stannis and his own blood mage, so we may end up seeing Gared and his new friends meet Frostfinger and Jon Snow again.
