Walking Dead Stuck Between Episodes - Wont Save!

Dear forum,

I am playing Walking Dead Season 1 on Steam, and having a major problem with saving games. Hope someone can help.

I had some problems with my saved games due to issues with the Steam Cloud Syncing. The game forgot some of my choices at the start of Episode 2, and I turned off Syncing and partly fixed it, but it was still very buggy and even wiped out all my saves just from rewinding once.

I ended up reloading the saved game and prefs.prop files from an external backup drive and tried to continue playing from Episode 2.

When I finally finished Episode 2 and started Episode 3, the game wouldn't save. Instead, the save file still says Episode 2 and when I open it, there is just an option to rewind or continue, I hit CONTINUE and it it just gives me the following message: "Rewinding will delete any progress made after this point. Do you want to rewind to this checkpoint?" Whether I say YES or NO, the game just crashes.

There is no file saying Episode 3, now matter how far I get during the start of Episode 3.

    ALERT!!!

    The issues in this post seem to have been resolved by going into the folder Steam/SteamApps/common/The Walking Dead/Pack/default folder/ AND CHANGING THE FILE NAMED PREFS.PROP to PREFS.PROP.BAK

    Let us hope this permanently fixes the problem, right now the saved games have suddenly appeared as if by magic.

    Hope this post helps others. Still makes an interesting read.
