What is the best combo for Lordship of House Forrester?

Just curious to see what people think is the best duo for the ruling of House Forrester and Ironrath?

Me personally, I like Rodrik and Royland. They seem to have the best chemistry, their armors match, and they are super badass. Especially together.

Though I also love Asher and Duncan, I think they work well together, a sort of fire and ice combo.

So objectively speaking, who do you make the best pair, for ruling House Forrester?

  • Rodrik and Duncan

  • I actually think Asher and Duncan. Both would compliment each other very well I think.

Asher and Duncan are who I had at the end of playthrough of season 1, so curious to see how it unfolds in season 2.

  • In my playthrough I ended up with Rodrik and Duncan, which in my opinion is the best pair. Rodrik is noble and just in his dealings as Lord of House Forrester, something Sentinel Duncan can understand and agrees with. With these two, there is way less struggle between Lord and Sentinel, making the house stronger. Rodrik and Royland would get along, but they're both very noble and try to maintain their pride, which could lead House Forrester to destruction. Asher and Duncan is a good mix, but I don't think Duncan would be able to follow Asher that well, since Asher is shown to resort to violence rather than diplomacy a lot in Season 1. Asher and Royland has to be the worst pairing in my opinion. Both are very vicious and always go on instinct and nobility, which could definitely lead the house to doom. That's how I see it.

It's why I think Asher and Duncan would make the best and most ideal pair. Asher is more aggressive (more than Rodrik), and Duncan tends to be more diplomatic and conservative. I think the aggressive nature of Asher is needed (even more so now).

Ultimately, I think a mixture of both is best. Can't be too aggressive, but also not so conservative either.

  • Well. I played diplomatic as long as I could and saved Rodrik in episode 5.

After the fall of Ironrath, I'm left with Rodrik and Royland.... the traitor.

It will be very interesting to see how they interact in season 2...

I was contemptuous of Royland when he revealed his true colours and simply told him that no matter what he thought he'd betrayed everything he stood for. Now he knows he got Elissa, the pit fighters, Asher and most of men killed. This is going to be VERY awkward at first....

But I don't doubt we'll be able to work together and have our terrible revenge on House Whitehill. No support? No allies? Not a problem for Rodrik.

  • I like Rodrik and Royland the best. I even like Ethan and Royland during the brief time that Ethan was Lord.

Duncan has a lot of good qualities and I feel that he is the best Sentinel for Asher, but for Rodrik it is Royland.

I just feel more emotionally invested with Royland as my Sentinel. An intelligent and cunning advisor is not necessarily the best. I would rather have an honest and blunt advisor that tells me how things really are and doesn't sugarcoat things.

And Rodrik while a great warrior also has better diplomat skills or at least more experience with it than Asher. He also probably have more administrative senses than Asher, things he probably need to know about as the Lord of the House. So both Rodrik and Royland are the best duo for me.

I really enjoyed Asher and Royland. Royland truly respected Asher and you could tell he was proud to have a fierce and capable lord. His dynamics with Ethan and Rodrik were intriguing as well, but he truly became in his element while serving Asher.

That being said, Royland is now dead therefore leaving traitor Duncan with Asher. I respect Duncan as an intelligent rational man, but I am worried about his tendency to betray the Lord over what he feels is right. Asher is going to have to figure out a way to put him in his place, because I'm not having Duncan talk Asher out of any vengeance.

  • Easily Rodrik and Royland. I'm so glad I see people agree since they're both the most unpopular choice

Well, Sentinel Duncan is as truthful as Sentinel Royland and neither of them sugarcoat things.

  • Just a figure of speech. I am just saying that I want an advisor who isn't afraid to speak his opinion.

  • The fact Rodrik is the least saved brother, and Royland is the least chosen Sentinel is something I will never understand to the day I die. :3

  • I'm assuming cause most people picked Royland as sentinel, and when Duncan is the traitor..most spared him to potentially save Asher. In that scenario, Royland dies during the final battle.
