Rodrik vs Asher (vs Gared): Who had the best story?

Rodrik Forester: From House Forrester's most valiant warrior to a cripple after the slaughter at the Twins, who then must overcome the impossible odds stacked against him and regain his lost strength.

Asher Forrester: The exiled second son who never forgot that he was still a Forrester and raced back to Westeros with an army to save his family from the Whitehills.

Gared Tuttle: The pig farmer turned squire turned disgraced felon turned a Black Brother of the Nights Watch showing great promise, turned deserter, turned the strongest remaining hope for House Forrester. (his journey is quite fantastical when you think about it: from Pig Farmer to the potential savior of House Forrester).

In my opinion I think Rodrik is a very underrated character as well as a true Lord that still honors Stark traditions. Asher will always be awesome but I think the fanbase has him overrated. Gared is also underrated, not as much as Rodrik but people really need to appreciate the insane journeys he's gone through so far in service to House Forrester and I'm really excited for whatever big role he will play in Season 2.

  • Rodrik (up until ep6 as I had Asher) I loved his story in Ironrath and all the tense encounters with Gryff, Ludd and all the Whitehills.

I don't really think Rodrik's underated, both he and Asher are fan favourites. I personally could never decide who I liked better. Now I definitely agree that Gared is underated, I personally love his character and his story.

  • I loved all of their stories. But Ironrath, to me, is the heart of the story. So Rodrik wins this one. Everything I did with him just felt the most monumental.

  • For me, it is Rodrik. I loved these tense moments at the Forresters Heart, Ironrath.
Also in Episode 6, I kinda prefer the Story with Rodrik.
Though it's Interesting to see Asher as Lord.

    Episode 6: Asher

Gared's story had me totally enthralled, I got so excited for more and it was definitely the story I was the most interested in because of The North Grove and Gared's journey. He started out as a squire at the Red Wedding and finishes at The North Grove (whether you made him stay or go he still made it to his destination), if you think about it he's the only one who successfully did what he set out to do without being killed or badly injured at the end of it.

I love Asher's character but Rodrik's story in episode 2-5 was so insane and tense. I never knew what was happening, at one point I was kissing Ludd's ring and standing down to Gryff and at the next I was destroying Gryff and trying to get the upper hand with Ludd just to for him to die at my hands in episode 5. Asher in episode 6 though was amazing and those were some of his best points in his story.

  • The Ironrath story was the most interesting to me, no matter who was the lord at the time.
