sam and max season one "discount"

the price for the Sam & Max Season One + Bonus Disc is $19.95

when i put in my episode one order number, the price goes up to $21

the small text underneath says "If you've purchased a standalone episode, enter that order number to upgrade to the Season One set and bonus disc for just $26."

i guess i am glad the order number doesn't cause the price to rise all the way to $26, but it would be nice if the order number actually lowered the price like it says:
"Have a Season One or single episode order number?
Enter it here for your discounted price."

how can i get the discounted price? what is the discounted price?

    Maybe you're being charged taxes.

    That is back from when the price for the full season was $35. These days it's dumb not to just buy the full season unless you really can't afford $19.95 all at once. I'm 99% sure you won't get a cheaper price than that considering it's already heavily discounted from the original price for the full season.

    Yeah maybe you are right, but it should be stated somewhere on the page.

    I used my ToMI free code to get episode 1 of season 1 in order to get the full season at a discounted price and got to the same point megatron is ...

    I'm feeling i've been wasting my free code this way .... ... ...

    if i put in an episode order number, i should get a discount.

    if that isn't the case, they need to change what the page says.

    i too used my monkey island free code to get season 1 episode one of sam and max with the expectation of it getting me a discount on the whole season. if i had known this wasn't going to work, i could have used my code on something else.

    that seems like the sort of thing that would happen in a cart, not on the item page.

    never mind that i didn't get charged taxes when i bought monkey island.

    or that taxes would make it $21.35 not $21 even, assuming i was paying full price, which i shouldn't be if i got my discount.

    Right.

    If i knew about this i would have used my code for episode 1 of season 2 and then buy the upgrade for that season, and the full season 1 at 19$! i want my code back :(

    I also sent an email at support two days ago but haven't got any answer yet :(

    I came here to create a post about the exact same thing.
    I bought Monkey Island and got a free episode of Sam and Max. It makes no sense that i have to pay more then the actual game to upgrade. I would love to play the game but i don't think it is fair that to upgrade i have to spend more then to buy the full game. Please Tell Tale help us so when i am done with Sam and Max i can also buy Wallace and gromit. Thanks
