It says about 17 hours till the game will unlock on steam.
btw TOMI is still number 1 on the top seller list on steam.

Probably not. Microsoft releases XBLA games at a set time every wednesday.
Not sure when, but I'd say "Not soon". I'm not gonna sweat it, really. If I don't get it the exact minute or hour, does it really matter that much? I mean, it's a game I've finished once already, and it's not like the game will be worse if I wait a bit for it.
I'm not terribly excited about this, but I guess I might buy it.... that is as long as it's available on PS3 and/or outside some stupid download "service" like Steam.
Does anybody know whether this will be a Steam exclusive? I hope for LA's sake it's not.
"The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition will be made available on Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and PC via Steam and other online distribution channels."
That's at the bottom of the first full paragraph of the second page. After the first line skip.
sorry to look like a noob but what is streem? and can i buy game from lucusarts store in 17 hours (or what ever time is now)
Depending on who you ask it's either the saviour of PC gaming or the devil incarnated (my view would be the later).
Basically Steam tries to provide a console-gaming like experience on PC by taking control of everything from downloading to ingame features.
The problem (as well as the benefit) is basically the same that you have on consoles: You have to do things the Steam way or not at all. If it's something the Steam developers have not anticipated, then you cannot do it, but if you can do it, it's usually done the same way across all games because it's actually done by Steam and not the game. That also means that the Steam client has to be running all the time and (you'll get different answers from different people about this, but that's how it was when I used it) you need an internet connection to play.

From my recent reintroduction to Steam(it's gotten to the point where it's convenient for me for a few select games), Steam can be a real pain in the ass when it hasn't finished updating or it has an update queued. I noticed this on a recent trip, I had no online connection and Steam wouldn't run in offline mode because it wanted to install some update. Since then, I've made sure that I can run the client in offline mode while the internet is disconnected beforehand when it comes to my laptop, and have just decided to buy games I want to play online anyway when it comes to my desktop(Civ IV and other multiplayer titles). The update thing annoys the hell out of me.
The problem for me is that stuff like that means that I have to think about my games also when I'm not currently playing and that's something I do not want to do. Plan ahead when I'm leaving home? For games? It's tough enough to get my work files onto the internal HDD from their various on- and offline locations, I don't want to worry about my games too.
My normal games collection is simply parked on my internal HDDs as ISOs that I mount when I want to play. I'm not interested in PC online gaming anyway (got my PS3 for that) and updates for games are nothing you really have to worry about with most single player games...
