What do you think of this?

Personally, I can't say I'm surprised. I mean, he outright refused to do any interviews of any nature throughout his entire run (and death) on the show. (Nearly half a decade, all in all). A part of me is glad to see him being honest about it--over the majority of actors who just claim they enjoyed everything and everyone, even and especially when it's clear they did not. But it also sucks and is kind of sad to hear him be this way, as well.

I think he's saying what a lot of people on big production don't say.
They show you people laughing in extras and all but it's not that much the reality.
Rose Leslie who played Ygritte and Dormer who played Margaery said kind of the same thing; they need to do jobs from time to time, and in big production like that, the characters are not well deep developped.
Now here's the irony: the fact he didn't like playing might have helped him playing Stannis, since Stannis is also doing something he doesn't like.
It was kinda obvious he didn't like it before he stated it in Libération; watch this video for example: you can feel he's bored to death in his voice and in his eyes.
In anyway, he's a great actor and it's sad we don't see him that much. While playing in theatre he must be terrific.
Now thinking from a Telltale POV's, I believe it means one will not see him in next season two.
Sad because he's great at narrating:
