I want Rodrik/Asher to survive Season 2
There, I said it. I honestly think Telltale has a good thing going on with both characters, and seeing how the story of S2 could be affected by their radically different personalities is an exciting prospect. Rodrik is like a more badass version of Eddard Stark with all of the humanity and none of the gullibility. Asher has the roguish charm of a grittier, fiercer Robin Hood, which is more than welcome in a landscape as bleak and oppressive as Westeros. It would be downright criminal to waste all that to the pessimistic mentality of "Martinism" and bad guys dressed in plot armor, IMO. Besides, it's fair to say they've received their share of GRRM-style abuse in S1 already.
Apologies if other people feel differently.

Same here, in fact I'll be pissed if they don't survive.
I agree, they were my favorite protagonists of the season. It seems like they will survive for a while at least because if they were going to die why not just kill them off in the finale when the Whitehills had us surrounded instead of being saved and giving us a cliffhanger?
Don't we all? They'll probably die in the finale alongside whatever Whitehill survived The Ice Dragon.
Somehow, I see this series ending with neither the Forrester's or Whitehills alive.
idk how they will survive getting stabbed through the stomach with a greatsword, they should be dead tbh
I've always thought the most natural ending that could come out of GRRM's series would be a six-mile-wide meteor smashing into Westeros and vaporizing everyone in an all-consuming apocalyptic hellfire.
Asher got shot in the leg, still walking.
Rodrik survived the fall on a horse on him.
They could survive though.
About the main subject:
Martin don't kill that much characters as you say and don't give bad guys a plot armor; the series kill more though, but it isn't linked to GRRM.
I think most people want that. Its the perfect opportunity to maintain a linear-ish plot while still having it come in significantly different flavors. Rodrick and Asher are very different people, but I think their core values and beliefs are the same, so even though they'll handle situations uniquely it'll make sense when the results end up being the same.
And yeah, they're both such great characters with so much potential, it would just be a waste to kill them both. Losing one was a heavy enough blow, especially when grouped together with everything else they've lost and will undoubtedly loose in season 2. I fully expect them to suffer for the rest of their lives, but the survivor should be exactly that, and survive the many tragedies that befall them.strong text
Me too, I'm kind of scared that telltale will kill them. PLEASE DON'T TELLTALE
Neither protagonist makes it out of the first episode, same with any character who had the chance of being killed or not... They are so different with such different styles that they will be dead before the first episode is over... If they do survive the focus will surely be on other characters in the Forrester line, like Ryon and Talia, Gared. Although I'm not sure how they float the fact all the adult members of the Forresters are dead or could be potentially dead.
So many variables exist between Roderick and Asher.
I suppose they could have us playing as Beshka, (does she die or get left behind in any potential choices?) The Uncle (he gets left behind no matter what?), then one of the children, either Ryon or Talia..
