Which scene in Episode 3 do you think was better?

Making Britt suffer or standing up to Gryff? I can't decide, I need your opinion.

  • I'd say standing up to Gryff, it's so badass. Making Britt suffer was satisfying, but also makes Gared kind of a shitty person, even if Britt deserved it. And it wasn't really badass, just a huge satisfaction for the player.

Can you explain why it would make him a shitty person? He's just getting revenge for his family. I'm not judging your opinion, I just need to know.

  • One evil doesn't correct another. I understand that Gared wanted revenge, and Britt really deserved it. But Gared isn't better than Britt if he chooses to make him suffer.

Okay, I get what you're saying. And yeah, standing up to Gryff is so badass. But I need to hear more peoples' opinions.

  • My Gared (and me!) tried to avoid the fight. Telltale was either 'fight back' or 'non-canon death' :( I also just left him instead of finishing him off, trying to make Gared as innocent as possible in the fight.

Also, not to make another post, I'd say that standing up to Gryff is better, since the Wall fight frustrated me.

  • Standing up to Gryff, is was so much more satisfying than Britt, which I tried to walk away from.

  • I see neither of this as acceptable choices for me, but, having to pick the more satisfying one, it would be standing up to Gryff. It was very well-made, music, dialogue, concept. If making someone suffer satisfies you, I'm convinced there is something wrong with you.

They were both really, really good scenes.

Making Britt suffer was pretty much one of the first times we got any real payback against the Whitehills so it felt like justice. Right after you kill Britt and before you see Finn watching, I remember feeling at ease for once in the game.

The Rodrik scene, however, gave me goosebumps. After a certain point you don't give a fuck if Gryff has his sword out because you're sick of the abuse. And seeing Gryff break down was priceless. I also teared up a bit when Rodrik falls down afterwards and everyone rushes to help him.
