Tales of Monkey Island cost

When Nintendo does inevitably pull it's finger out and relaeses TOMI on the Wii shop channel, does anyone have any idea how much each episode will cost. Strongbad episodes each cost 1000 points (10 euro for me. Not sure about other countries). I was thinking that maybe TOMI will cost the same. But then that hardly seems fair considering PC users can buy the whole series for $35 (as opposed to the 50 euro for 1000 points each). So does anyone know how much each episode will cost?

Thanks for the quick reply! 1 minute :)

    It's a shame though because that means 50 euro :( .

    Thanks again.

Overcharge. 1000 per episode sucks. Could they just release a complete pack for that?

I wish a complete pack was possible... but I don't think Nintendo's Wii Shop channel is equipped to handle things like preordering games that don't exist yet. So they have to be released one at a time, and bought that way. Maybe Telltale will set a lower price this time than they did for Strong Bad, but I'm not totally sure how much control they have over the price either.

900 points/episode would be more in keeping with the PC game's pricing. (per episode) If the Wii Shop had the option to sell the full season instead, I'm sure Telltale would be happy to provide the game that way.

Think positively. You might have to pay more for the game, but you are less likely to have any hardware compatibility issues, which would cost you time, nerves and in some cases even €.
That didn't help, or did it?

Yeah! I thought 50€ per episode sounded insane. It's £7 for 1000 points which works out at £35 so it seems fine to me.

Edit: £35 is still high considering I paid £22! :)

The cheapest i've seen so far is 9€/1000. They are cheaper in the US 9$/1000 ~ 6,4€/1000.

    That's once again a case of 1$=1€.

Isn't it great, that only big companies benefit from Globalization, and the individual has to pay?

I'm thinking of regional codes on DVDs, websites with geoblocking which can only be used from certain regions, or in this case region specific wii points.

You could use all of those everywhere in the world, if they would let you. I know some of it is in order to protect copyright licenses and regulate prices so that less wealthy countries can afford the products too, but it just feels wrong in many cases, such as USA vs Europe.
