The Red Meeting
I want to know your opinion about the Red Meeting (scene where you choose to attack at Highpoint) For me, at least, that scene should actually be a choice.
"But Sheriff Mira, if that scene was canon, we wouldn't be able to make the episode 5 ending choice"
That's right, because Rodrik would be already dead, and also would be Ludd. The only remaining "survivor" would be Gryff, who would be the acting Lord of House Whitehill. With Ryon, he would rule Ironrath with the permission of Ramsay plot armour Snow. But, Asher would arrive, and would begin a war with Gryff. The final choice at episode 5, I really don't know what would be. Perhaps we would loose Beskha?
Anyway, this way, the game would actually allow us to make "real" choices and "really" shape the ending. I'm not asking for a "reboot" of the first season, just what you think about how the story would be if the Red Meeting was canon.
I've always say this, but, "sorry for the poor english"

That'd be hella sweet. Although I enjoyed Game Of Thrones the way it was, it'd be a bit more enjoyable and immersive if the gameplay was something similar to Heavy Rain for example.
One thing I absolutely love about Heavy Rain is how the gameplay makes it so intense. If you fuck up during a fight scene, you might get one of your playable characters killed and yet the story goes on. If Telltale used that mechanism as well, it'd definitely get players more invested in the story and all the choices, since death would be all around considering it is Game Of Thrones after all. Experienced players of Telltale's games are already aware of the decisions in the game not being too heavy when you look at the final conclusion, so to bring the determinant character status out more would definitely be a breath of fresh air. (And especially if they made major characters determinant instead of just side characters, so that the choices would be crucial to the story.) It would bring a greater variety of different outcomes to the game and create a bit of a twist.
As for the Red Meeting... man, what can I even say? It'd be a huge twist, obviously, and I'd pay to have it be a canon (but still determinant) scene. Ironrath would be so fucked, since Asher wasn't even in Westeros during Episode 4. I suppose Gryff would go out of his way to end the Forresters for good, which would be a shitstorm for Asher to handle, if he ever got back to Ironrath in the first place. How cool would it be to have the storyline go that way though? It'd be a disaster but I would love to see how it would all play out in the end.
I figured that scene was made so players would not be asking "Why did not we have an option to finish Ludd at that fucking meeting?!". Telltale's answer is that it would be a stupid choice, with terrible consequences to the Forresters. I understand that some would find it cool to see what would happen, but Rodrik is not suicidal, that should not be an option at all, is madness, nonsense. About "shaping" the story, well, we already do that. Not with the outcomes of it, of course, but Telltale has given us a chance to show who we are to ourselves in each situation, doing that through these wonderful characters. I do not want Telltale to be like Quantic Dream, what I love about Telltale is their mastery in storytelling, so even if the outcome is always the same, we still make a personal difference, our every choice matters, only not the way people expect it to. But I totally understood what you meant there.
It'd be cool. Maybe we could take over as Talia or our Sentinel/whomever we left at Ironwrath till Asher arrives
No. I think that would've ruined the story.
