Should we get Gregor flashbacks?

Personally I do think it would be a little refreshing (narrative-wise) if Season 2 began with us playing a young (and alive) Gregor Forrester during the end of Robert's Rebellion, learning more about the history of House Forrester (hence giving us a better appreciation of its place in Westeros) and of course learning more about the origin of his two bastards.

Kind of like how in the show Bran will probably have a vision of the past that confirms R+L=J. I mean it would be boring if they just said Jon was a secret Targaryen.

There's definitely a lot left unexplained by the end of Season 1, namely the true nature of the North Grove and the backgrounds of Gregor's bastards. Should we simply be told the truth or would it be more interesting to play as Gregor himself?

  • It'd be nice but imo it seems like a waste of time.

  • At first I thought you were talking about Gregor Clegane :')

I'm personnally not against flashback if it brings something to the story.

  • It would be good but, it is not necessary, also, I prefer to play only as the characters that still on the board.

  • Yeah I'd like a scene like that, but only one and at the beginning of the season.

Maybe before the brother gains consciousness he dreams about one of his last memories of his father. Asher's flashback would be us talking to Gregor right as we're leaving for exile. For Rodrik it would be him going off to war with his father and talking about the pressures of lordship and responsibility. Then after a sad conversation the brother would wake up in blinding pain to the sentinel/traitor working on their wounds.

  • I dont see the point. There are other characters I would much rather getinformation/background on before him.

  • I dont think any flashbacks will be of use

  • A flashback scene at the beginning of the season where you play one segment with younger Gregor would be cool. Though there has to be a reason for it, and that could be a.) show us something important from the childhood of Asher, Rodrik or Talia, OR b.) show an important glimpse to history between Forresters and Whitehills, OR c.) show something about the North Grove.

  • That's a great idea. Hope they do something like that

  • If they were relevant to the story being told. Personally, I'd love to see some of the characters when they were younger.

  • I would love for something like this to happen. Old boy's got some explaining to do!

  • That would indeed be a very interesting use of Gregor in line with his individual influence on Asher/Rodrik, kind of reminds me of Clementine's dream of Lee in Season 2 after she was shot.

  • It'd be great to see more from 'Gregor the Good'. He lasted barely ten minutes and when being defended by every one of his men... he still died even though Gared could of carried him. He was the main art of the promotion for the GoT Telltale series and gets cut off just like that. I wish that we had Gregor instead of Ethan and he would be saved until Season 2, the plot would be different slightly but it'd end with Ramsay killing Gregor indicating that he had grown tired of his customs and ways.
