How meaningful would you say the choices are? (no spoiler)

Please do not give any spoilers, that's not why I made this post (if it makes any sense)

As the title says, how would you rate the meaningful-ness of the series? And how much for each individual game?

I just recently bought the series, and even though I haven't played much, I really like the aesthetics and setting, but I've gotten some comments from people saying something along the lines that the game isn't worth it.

So, I just wanted to hear what you think :)

  • What he said ^^^

  • I think what people are (rightfully) sour about is the extremely crappy resolution and framerate of Episode 1, especially on PC. Honestly haven't seen many people who dislike the game storywise.

Just like @EpicMustacheGuy said, the only complaint about the game is the framerate dropping and the bugs. Kinda like Batman: Arkham Knight.

But as for the choices, I'd rank them an 8/10 in terms of mattering.

  • So far, I think that the story is wonderful, and I would recommend it to anyone whole-heartedly. As for the choices themselves, for the most part, they're what you would expect if you've played other Telltale games in the past. Some affect dialogue, how characters perceive you, offer different ways to tackle a scenerio, or provide alternate plot-lines. There are a few specific decisions that seem like they could have a huge impact, but I won't elaborate any further for the sake of avoiding spoilers. The game takes you from point A to point B no matter what, but because of the choices, everyone gets there a little bit differently. I'd say that the choices affect the player experience very well so far.

  • At this point with the game , I am really enjoying it!. I have been lucky with the two episodes so far with not getting any problems! I think the story is great and the look of the game is so good!. I just think people had a lot of problems with the first episode on pc and people on old gen having problems with running it even though it is a 10 year old console! id say the choices have had effect so far and the game is well worth buying and playing! :D

  • Gonna echo some thoughts here to answer whether the available choices are meaningful. I find it somewhat hard to say at the moment because I think the consequences of some decisions haven't fully materialized yet. However, that's not true for one (maybe two) character(s) in particular, and with that choice I fully anticipate playing a vastly different game than others who made the opposite choice. So yeah, that's meaningful.

  • Well, if this isn't ringing endorsements, I don't know what is! :D

I'm glad to hear from you guys who have played through the episodes, also because it doesn't sound like you're sugar coating it :)

I'm very excited now to play more of the game, and I can't wait for the more impact-feeling decisions to show up - It's going to be awesome! :p

With only 2 episodes out currently, its hard to say, but episode 3 is releasing on Tuesday and after a choice in episode 2, episode 3 should be the deciding factor.
