Characters you wish to see for Batman Season 2 (Possibly)
There's no doubt in my mind that what Telltale has done is create something very special and new to the Batman mythos that has created an enormous amount of potential to explore. Something the comics and the cartoon series I think couldn't really couldn't do. Although a part of me would like to see him change his hair colour
The Batman and Bruce Wayne in this has become the most interesting I've ever played and I really loved both sides of these characters that I think more could be done if they decide to do a Season 2, and I really hope they do. Not only the Batman/Bruce Wayne dynamic but the characters around him. We saw what changes they've done to his parents, Selina Kyle, Harvey Dent, Oswald Cobblepot, and Vicki Vale. And so far they've been great and added something new to an existing character. Something the New 52 did but never went further
That's why I want to ask which character would you like to see if Telltale does do a Season 2?
Comments
I would love for bane to be the main antagonist. Aside from that I'd love to see croc, scarecrow, mad hatter.
If we get a season 2, Joker could be pretty interesting, right now I like how Telltale has a great plot going without Joker, so having season 1 being established and then bringing Joker would be fun. Also, for characters I hope don't show up, I'd say Robin, or any variation. I've always preferred just having Batman, instead of Batman and his side-kick, and I hope Telltale keeps it that way.
Im just holding out for bearded Bruce Wayne. Come on Telltale, you can do it!
For the allies:
Aaron Cash
Based on the Arkhamverse. Aaron making an appearance as being someone who is a kind of equal to Batman, but works within the law. Putting the two characters in a difficult position but eventually grew to respect each other
Harvey Dent
He's a character I was desperate to redeem, and had he remain as Mayor then he would help Batman in more ways then ever. Granting you access to the city and would defend you
Jim Gordon
The most obvious, but is now commissioner Jim Gordon. But his behaviour will change depending on what you did in the first season
For Optional Allies:
What I like about the game is how your choices affected the characters around you and how they will see you. Like the choices made with Harvey Dent as you help him and he becomes your ally instead of your enemy. For anyone who has read the comics should know enough of what their lives would be when Batman is involve and what their futures will be. But what if that could be changed? Doing that kind of change would not only change the story but also the gameplay. These are choices were you would have to pick which character you want to have in your team that not only would have benefits to your job as Batman but also provide you with the much needed skillsets you needs in dealing with villains
Barbara Gordon/Qadir Ali
Any who read comics knows who Barbara is and what she's capable of. Qadir however is a new character from the New 52 Batgirl series but has shown his skills well involving cybernetics, while baring an interest in Batgirl. In this they are both in their pre-teens and study in the same school, which is where Bruce Wayne meets them both. For Barbara she could be based on the "Beware the Batman" series as the energetic fangirl of Batman. With Qadir being the same nerdy character that later develops into someone Bruce would rely on
Both characters are equally smart in science and technology, as they score the most highest marks in their class, and have shown to posses incredible computer skills, but both are geniuses in each of their fields. With Barbara being skilled in biometrics and Qadir in cybernetics. This has also gained attention to certain companies that want them. Stagg Industries and GothCorp being a few
If choose Barbara Gordon, which I know most people would, her skills would add some biometric and computer based-tech into the gameplay. Masked security systems, hack into the city's mainframe systems for easy detection of activity, improved detection systems, facial recognition, greater surveillance system, greater firewall systems, audio recording and retrieval. This could also work against you if you chose not to pick her as the people she was hired to work for used her skills against you and your tech. Blocking and hijacking your communication, breach into your tech, track your every motion to make it easier for enemies to find you
If choose Qadir Ali his skills would add some cybernetics skills to your arsenal, with improved drone systems, cybernetic hijacking, cybernetic armour, robotics (which you can customize), detection shielding, sonar scanning system, cybernetic combat weaponry. If not chose Qadir then the pople that hired him could use his skills against you and your tech. Hijacking your tech, offensive drone and robotics technology, cybernetic defence system
The choices here will impact the gameplay and will have to force you to think carefully on which skills would benefit you greatly or you would risk the possibility of putting the characters in a difficult position
Villains
Every hero needs a villain, and their motives would have to be good enough to make them a genuine threat and is shown to be the most interesting of them all
Joker
This is a no brainer that the villain of this season should be Joker and I'll be interested to see. Maybe he would have some ties to Boyle himself which would partly explain the reasoning on how he became the Joker
Ferris Boyle
CEO of GothCorp. To the rest of Gotham he's a respectable figure in Gotham, but behind closed door he's corrupt business with ties to certain lobbying groups and would use whatever advantage he has to get in his way. Even if it means sacrificing lives for profit. One example is his treatment towards Victor Fries and how he became Mr. Freeze
Optional Hero/Villain
Like with Harvey Dent we want to try and redeem them from their fate or doom them to their path to villainy, and if done successfully would also doom another. With Ferris Boyle there is only one. With another I don't know
Victor Fries/Mr. Freeze
There is a point were he might or might not become Mr. Freeze, but that all depends involving his wife, Nora, and how you treat him
Harleen Quinzel/Harley Quinn
If the Joker is involved then there is one character that would play a role in this and that that is Harleen. Will she fall for Joken and become Harley, or d you prevent it? If you can hen how?
Optional Choices
In every Batman story there is one character that plays an important role to both Bruce Wayne and Batman, and here is one
Dick Grayson
This is a character we know for so long and we know how it happens, and this would be a crucial moment for you as a player to decide what will his fate become. Take him in and raise him, prevent the death of his parents, or not take him in at all. That is up to you to decide
This is what I got so far and I would like to hear what character would you like to see if Telltale did do a season 2 and what changes would you like to expect
To end this I have a personal note for one additional character I hoped would happen, but would need another element into the mix. And that character is Zatanna. Out of all the female character she was one of the few that is the best, and the one girl I hoped to ship Bruce with. The comics did tie into the possibility that they know each other, and that has also played in the Animated Series. I would very much loved to have Zatanna as a love interest for Batman, but that would also involve magic elements into this. That would be something that would need to be dealt with in another time
I think a villain like Hush for a second season would be a natural next step, if Telltale were wanting to continue to reflect Bruce and Gotham's past onto the present. That's assuming their childhood friendship can fit into the history they're creating already, but having a serial killer as the main antagonist could keep it street-level while also having a major affect on Bruce. It could be a little too similar to Oz, however, who seems to be filling that role of childhood friend-turned-villain.
Other than that, I'm game for anyone to show up. A meeting with Talia Al Ghul/Ras Al Ghul would be pretty sweet, and could take Bruce out of Gotham. That'd be fun.
The Mad Hatter or The Riddler.
I just hope it's not the Joker. I am not nearly as enthralled by his boring nihilism as everyone else I know is. His screwing things up for the sake of screwing them up or to try and prove that everyone can go bad is really not interesting and the Joker is way overexposed lately. We need a break from him.
I think most people would want to see The Joker. Better yet, it would be easy to get Troy Baker to play him as well!
One thing they could add on top of that is Harleen Quinzel (before she became Harley Quinn) and depending on your choices, will determine when, if or how she becomes infatuated with The Joker and adopts the persona of Harley Quinn.
Jason Todd! That'd probably still be a while away though.
That's just a result of too many writers trying to imitate what Alan Moore did with "The Killing Joke." For all we know, Telltale might take a completely different spin on the character.
If he becomes the Red Hood, I don't see why not.
Imagine Telltale using their choice system in a game of riddles against The Riddler. That'd make for some really fun sequences that could potentially have a big impact on the story. Even if it didn't, that'd still be a pretty neat use of the dialogue-tree system.
We definitely need a Dick Grayson/Robin character. Hopefully he will be a playable character in S2.
Well he's the second Robin, meaning Dick would have to go through his whole arc before he's even introduced.
Calendar Man. He's badass.
Remember the scene from Batman The Animated Series Christmas Special where Batman hit one of Joker's toy planes with a baseball bat and Robin said "They don't call you BATman for nothing!"
Make that into a character.
I don't know or care how... Just fucking do it, Telltale.
In all seriousness, though... It's gotta be The Riddler or Hugo Strange.
No one plays Telltale Games for their quick-time events. And those 2 villains are ones that Batman has to outsmart.
Just don't use the Joker...he is so overused!!!
And I would really like to see the Riddler he is perfect for this franchise.
Although I love this game, I'm not a huge Batman fan in general and don't read comics. Even so, I get the impression that the Joker has been overused. I know he shows up as the main villain in two separate Batman films and at least one animated series, had a cameo in Suicide Squad, was in villain in the Arkham Asylum video game, and probably got more screentime than any other villain in the old Adam West TV series.
I wouldn't mind the Joker showing up in Season 2, particularly if Telltale found a way to make him original and interesting, but he wouldn't be my first choice. I'd rather see Telltale use a less popular villain, much like they've done with The Penguin in this series.
I really want to see Robin show up and have Telltale do their own take on Dick, his relationship with Bruce, and Batman with a partner/protege. Robin's an important part of the mythos and feels like a logical addition for a second season of Batman.
I think there's a lot of interesting things they can do with the mentor/sidekick dynamic and how your choices can effect it, maybe even have your choices play into Dick becoming Nightwing and his relationship with Batman afterwards. Even if it's not Dick, and maybe Barbara Gordon as Batgirl, I think it would be a very intriguing dynamic to include in this kind of Batman game.
Villains I would love to see Telltale use: Joker, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, Riddler, Mr. Freeze, Clayface, Ra's Al Ghul.
