Is it the lowest selling Telltale Series?

It seems that, according to SteamSpy, Batman TTG series was their lowest selling title.

Yes, I know it's not fully out yet, but it's strange it sold so little.

A little bit disappointed and surprised that JP and Minecraft went better.

  • Can't edit but:

    For "selling" i mean "owned".
I know it's not the same but globally you can expect most of the people paid for it.

  • To be fair that's just steam, and maybe it will give Telltale a heads up on what went wrong with performance issues so they could improve their engine on newer games in the future.

  • Nah, its a nice game and it is selling fine i guess. Yeah there are performance issues but i guess thats a the reason ttg is taking time to fix everything and release wd3 with that engine

  • Like Freelancepolicefan11 said it is just on Steam. We also have to consider that you can buy the game on PlayStation, Xbox, IOS and other online store such as GOG. There is always the possibility that Batman is more popular on console than PC or people are just waiting for all of the episodes to get released before buying it.

  • Actually, I think it has to do with people warning other people not to buy it on PC because it is so broken. Many of these potential PC players probably bought it on console instead, so Telltale doesn't lose as many sales as these statistics suggest.

  • It likely sold more on consoles considering how fragile the pc version is.

  • And android too

It likely sold more on consoles considering how fragile the pc version is.

  • The reason can be the bad compatibility of android since engine upgrade

  • Well, this game is basically a combo of two of the worst Batman games ever, so I can't say I don't see why.

  • Batman: Arkham Origins and Batman: Arkham Knight.

The Origins part is because for a while, a villain other than the Joker looks like the main villain. And then BOOM! Joker is the villain and then the supposed main antagonist from earlier's potential gets fucking shafted. It's not like that in this game yet, but it will be.

And the Knight part is because of all the bugs and glitches. :p

  • I was disappointed with Arkham Origins for the same reason, but I don't think that's what will happen in this game. They're just establishing that the Joker exists in this continuity, and he'll likely be the main antagonist in a hypothetical Season 2.

  • Well, all of those posters for episode 4 and the trailer made me think he was gonna appear.

Well, all of those posters for episode 4 and the trailer made me think he was gonna appear.

  • Just because Joker is appearing doesnt mean he is going to be the main antagonist, in fact he probably isnt even called "The Joker" yet, we're probably just going to see his origin. If anything Joker appearing like this for half of 1 episode basically means we will get a season 2, which would be great.

  • It's kind of presumptuous to claim that Joker will become the main antagonist, given that you're stating that it's a fact. Narratively, I don't see any relationship between Origins and this. It has more in common with City, given that Bruce gets locked up, and even that is the slimmest similarity you could possibly find.

I can't comment on the glitches, because I play on console, but I've heard nothing but bad things for the PC version, so that's a shame :/

  • Most people wait to buy the games in one disc package. It may be low selling now, yet in time I can guarantee it will be high selling. I'm not that much of a DC fan, yet everyone loves Batman. This series will possibly be one of my favorites. I love the characters and story thus far. I cannot wait for episode 4.
