Problems with the Batman series

I by no means bashing Telltale's the Batman series in my following statement. I actually been a fan of the game so far. It's just I'm not able to play it, every time I try to the screen freezes for long periods of time. The transition between cutscenes has been super slow. It takes an hour for me to get through a five minute scene.

For a while, I was okay with it because the story is excellent. Episode 3 is where everything started faltering further, I lost most of the choices I made from the previous episode. Even that, didn't stop me from playing, but the issues kept coming forward. The screen would freeze for a very long time in each cutscene, which for the last time was insufferable. For that reason I couldn't finish the episode.

Once again, I am not trying to destroy this product but to bring more awareness to my situation. Thank you, for taking the time out to read this. I hope to hear feedback as soon as possible.

Yeah, the pc experience has been miserable. Are you dealing with the same problems ?

  • On PS4 I've only encountered inconsistent frame rate issues( the worst is the opening of ep2) Not that big of a deal to ruin the experience but annoying when they pop up during fight scenes.

  • Most people are, unfortunately.

The PC version has some... technical difficulties.

  • I could of dealt with some of minor issues like the cutscenes being slow, but the scenes being frozen for 20-30 mins was it for me. Has the PS4 version been the best platform to play it ?

  • That's putting it lightly. I haven't even been able to record my play throughs of this game because the quality has been so bad.

Has the problem been solved for other players or is it something you have to deal with for the time being ?

When I play it on my laptop, the frame is average and not good. But still playable. On window mode that is. If I play the game on my Big PC, the game runs fine, although whenever Bruce is interact with his Bat tech, the frame rate can drop.

A piece of advice, try and close down any application that you aren't using, such as the Anti-virus.

From my experience, and what I have heard from other players, yes it is. This also especially goes for earlier telltale games such as Walking Dead, Wolf Among Us, Tales from the Borderlands, Game of thrones. Not only do they run at 60fps, but most of technical hiccups that I experienced, on the PS3 were absent in the PS4 version.

I use PC, and I've only run into very minor issues, the the occasional character flashes, but I have this in every telltale game so... sorry? Is it just your computer?

  • That's encouraging to hear, I just wish some of the issues were absent on PC. I'll definitely consider that as a option.

I'll definitely try this, hopefully it works. I did have some applications that were open during the game. Thanks for the advice.

  • I've been playing on PC and it's actually playing quite well... Only some brief lag like once in a blue moon and it only lasts less than a second.

  • Isn't the whole thing a cutscene? What do you define as a cutscene for telltale games? :)

Well maybe it's my computer. I don't know that's why made this thread to figure it out, is it my pc alone having this problem or is other players experiencing it too. At the end of day, I just want to play the game without any issues. That's all. I'm hoping to here from developers.

  • Lol, you're right. I should of worded that differently. I was saying that every time a new scene happen it gets stuck in one motion for a very long time.
