Telltale, please let us tell Harvey/Oswald our identity!

Normally I don't try to make a thread out of a single request, but this means a lot to me, and I think it does to many other fans too.

Up till now, we haven't seen the results of either Two-Face or The Penguin knowing about Batman's true identity, in any continuity. We, the players, should be granted the chance to see what would happen if they did. Considering both characters have been reformatted to have closer ties to Bruce Wayne, this would be a climactic way to cap off the series, and the journey we've taken with this version of the Batman "mythos."

  • I can see some potential benefit in telling Harvey. If he was a fan of Batman even if he hates Bruce right now it could get him to come around, it could explain why he was at Selina's place if no sex happened or how the sex even happened if it did because right now he thinks they met once when he introduced them, it could give Harvey a jolt and maybe make him question his path and be open to hear what Bruce has to say...it's him not just being spoiled and and trying to pay back his debt. The big downside here, of course, is Harvey's crimes and lack of sanity so I'd see it as a hail mary more than anything else.

But I'm not sure why Bruce would think telling Oswald would help. He hates Bruce and I can't think anything would change that. How can it when Bruce isn't even the one he's angry with? He did say he liked Batman but he won't stop trying to kill Batman so if he wants Bruce to suffer and is working to make Batman dead combining them doesn't seem like it would do any good.

I was actually expecting Harvey to rip off Bruce's mask when he was lying on the ground after fucking up his leg, but I can see why he didn't do it since he wasn't really thinking at the time besides getting rid of his target.

  • Like Freelance said, I was expecting Harvey to unmask us. Kinda surprised we haven't been able to reveal out identity. Also, how does Oz not know we are Batman? He doesnt think its weird that under Bruce Wayne's office theres a secret Batman hide out and all of Batman's tech is Wayne tech?

  • I really want this! Oz is still my favourite character and I want to try to get through to him.

I know, but it would seem unbalanced if players had the opportunity to tell Harvey, and not Oswald.

  • I was thinking this might happen once Bruce has Vicki Vale beaten by the end and before he knocks her out, he reveals his identity to her similarly to how she revealed her identity to him.

  • I mean, why bother at that point, Vicki was pretty dumb to show us her identity, better to not make the same mistake.

  • I think it's a combination of things. He was going to know she was involved since she drugged him so what difference does it make if he knows she's the boss? He can't do anything about it and even if he can convince those in power, she was ready to burn the Vicki Vale identity and kill her foster parents to take the trucks so what does she have to lose? And maybe she wanted the son of Thomas Wayne to know the daughter of the Arkham's was the one slowly taking away everything he ever cared about.

Maybe letting her know that he's different and better and trying to save Gotham would have an impact on her but it would have to take something big to convince Bruce to even try. He gets targeted enough as it is and if they knew they were going after someone as resourceful as Batman they might try harder.

  • When I was defending Wayne Manor from Harvey, I thought that he was going to unmask Batman when his goons pinned me down. But alas, he just tried to shoot Batman in the head immediately. Seems like a moment of wasted narrative potential

  • Not necessarily. Maybe there's still some potential left. We have one more episode to go.

  • He might have been curious but if he wasn't going to let whoever it was change his mind and if he didn't want to see if he knew them so he could have a personalized "I can't believe you're Batman" conversation (and really, it's best to deal with Batman as soon as possible because he is very capable) then he could just look and see if he recognized him after he killed him.
