Trouble Logging in. PLEASE HELP

So, I'm new here. I have read over the tips on troubleshooting the log in errors for a mac. I've tried everything. username, email, password, updating password, enter key and clicking "log-in". every time i go to log in and unlock my game i get this error message that says:

(in the top red line) ERROR: Something went wrong.
Sorry, we ran into problems

Sorry we weren't able to log you in. If you're connected to the internet, please use your serial number instead. Otherwise, please go to the manual unlock tab and follow the instructions for offline activation.

1. They are closed on weekends (when i happen to have bought the game and am currently trying to play)so manual unlock will take 2 more days(assuming the manual unlock works)
2. What does it mean by using your serial number instead? instead of what?!
3. this is sort of disheartening.
