Yes, Muslims believe Jesus as Messiah while Jews don't. But why is that so? Jesus was born as an Israelite but was rejected by his fellowmen as Messiah, he wasn't born a Muslim and yet was accepted by Muslims as Messiah.

First of all, don't get information from Wikipedia. Second, the Muslims believed that Jesus was a good man and a great teacher. He was not the Son of God therefore, when he died he did not raise back from the dead promising eternal life when he returned. The Muslims believe that Allah was a great teacher, like Jesus, but surpassed Jesus in him being holier.

Anyway, this time Wikipedia is actually right as Muslims do believe what's written there about Jesus. They do believe he's the Messiah (Al-masih in Arabic) and he will be ressurected. Actually, everything you just said in your comment is true .. we believe that he is a prophet of god .. also, he wasn't crucified, and we believe in his return before judgement day.
However, we don't believe that all Jews and Christians will join him .. those who will join him at that time will convert to Islam.

IIRC the term "messiah" has slightly different connotations in Islam than it does in Christianity and Judaism.
