Just as with Season 1, we are going to ask that comments here directly in the Minecraft forums be made by people with a genuine interest in the game - be it negative or positive comments. Voicing negative feeback is totally fine and cool, but please do so with the intent of starting genuine discussion.
If you are a fan of Telltale's more mature titles and want to make jokes/voice your opinions/etc, you can do so over in Telltale Talk, but please refrain from hurting the forum experience for Minecraft fans.
Just as you would not like Minecraft fans trolling the TWD section, we are going to ask that TWD fans be considerate and not make such posts directly here in the Minecraft section. Again, negative feedback here in the Minecraft section is fine as long as you are not trolling.
I can't wait! Especially how I now have a powerful-enough PC to play it!
I guess I should buy and play Season 1 on my PC (as before I had played it on Xbox) in case any choices will carry over.
Actually, you might be able to carry your choices over using Cloud Save; one of Telltale's other recent titles, Walking Dead A New Frontier, also allowed cross-console cloud saves when transferring your previous Season's save file over to the next Season.
Played the first season it was terrible, genuinely upset they picked this over almost anything else.

I have mixed feelings. I enjoyed the first game and a part of me do feel interested in a season 2.
However I am greatly disappointed that Telltale chose to make this over GoT season 2 which they have already announced two years ago. Minecraft Season 1 finished only half a year ago. Also considering how Telltale are handling their recent games lately, I don't hold much faith.
Also this sudden announcement just came out of nowhere.
To be fair, it was basically leaked so I imagine that killed any momentum they could have had to drum up hype. Notice that they labeled the announced as "Minecraft Story Mode Season 2 is official" instead of something like "Announcing Minecraft Story Mode Season 2"

Well if they give an answer to what happened to Gabriel Soren and Magnegaard, I'm okay with this sequel. That was a huge problem with the first season during the adventure pack, that it really felt like it didn't matter because they were hopping from one problem to the next with little to no consequences. I want the story to have meaning again like it did with the Wither Storm.
Also, I'm kind of mad this is getting made when Game of Thrones needs a Season 2 so much more and it was confirmed, but what the hell. We're getting this whether we like it or not, so we might as well deal with it.
I had hopes that there would be a Season 2 of Minecraft: Story Mode. I loved playing Season 1 and I've been wanting more. I'm super happy and excited! ^_^ I just can't wait till the game comes out.
Meh, I still pre ordered since I own every single story telltale game so I have to get this one aswell. S1 was not bad though, better than TWD:ANF thats for sure

And what if you have a PS4 save file? There is no Cloud Save feature on the console. How do I transfer my decisions?
Oh, you are correct; I had thought the console versions had. Well, in the case of a similar previous scenario with Walking Dead Season 2 saves moving over to A New Frontier (Season 3), they had updated Season 2 before the release of A New Frontier to support the ability to upload your saves to the Cloud. I suspect that Telltale will talk more about transferring save files closer to release, as New Frontier had allowed players to transfer save files from the last Season across different consoles.
I'm actually very excited. I enjoyed the first season and am excited for what they have in store for us.

Seriously though. I'm happy to see MCSM is getting another season. When I enjoy any kind of media, I enjoy it for what it is, and I do not think worse of it just because of the genre or the target audience. I try to look at what that piece of media tried to do.
MCSM's proposal was being a fun, light-hearted comedic adventure targeted at a younger audience. Did it succeed?
Absolutely.
Therefore, it's good in my book and deserves another season. I'm looking forward to it.
But seriously TellTale give me back Lukas.

4 extra? There was 3 extra. Episode 5 was part of the original 5 episode's.
No, it was basically an extra 4 episodes, since the original plot of the season is entirely wrapped up by the end of episode 4, and episode 5 kicks off that string of random, unconnected episodes, thus creating a massive cliffhanger situation for everyone since they just ended a season and decided, well, fuck everyone who bought the season's pass, give us more money to complete the extra story that we suddenly forced onto people.
As for my reaction to this news of a season 2. I hate it. There are definitely better games under telltales belt that they could have picked, and minecraft is so damn new, it doesn't need a second season not even a year after it's release, but I guess block animation is super cheap and easy that they can just shit it out no problem.
Ehm, excuse me, but there was only 5 episodes, there was 3 extra, episode 5 does kick off a new plot but it's not counted as an extra episode. -_-

I don't care how you interpret the episode releases, the season was over after episode 4. Episode 5 was made to start off new story lines, and inform people that they needed to spend more money to actually complete the game.
Episode 5,6,7 and 8 are all extra, non-essential garbage.
Im not trying too start an arguement, but Episode 5 is not. A. Extra. Episode. The season was over after 8. 8 I TELL YOU! Episode 5 kicks off a new story, sure but it was never a extra episode, even before Ep's 6-8 were announced, it was still there!
