Intentional. I'd look to what Borderlands 3 does to see if they pop up - I hope they do.
Until BL3, Season 2 is not on the table.

I'm not sure why you posted that (I was already aware of it). My last sentence there is just a statement that even though a Season 2 is regardless unlikely to happen anyway, there is absolutely no chance a possible one will come until after Borderlands 3 as Telltale has said.
