Game crashes on the logo, while 'Checking DLC'

Hi, Can't play the game. When I start the game, the loading screen with the GOTG logo appears, and a couple of secs into 'Checking DLC' the game just freezes. The Task Manager shows the application as 'Not responding'.

I already reinstalled the game, but that did nothing....can someone pls help me? I have the PC version from the Telltale store.
