Sound Bug

I Have a sound bug in the first scene.

There's a weird glitchy rumbling sound whenever Max seems to walk about.

Anyone else got this problem? And Can they solve it?

    What sort of sound hardware does your PC have?

    C-Media AC97 if that means much to you.

    The problem seems to be with sound effects. I turned the effects volume down and the strange noise doesn't crop up. But I'd rather play with full sounds TBH.
