The Unofficial MI Song Petition.

Curse of Monkey Island was famous for (Among other things) it's songs. From trying out for a barber quartet, to attempting to rally a lazy, singing crew and even a canceled song, Michael Land and Dom were able to create enjoyable melodies that continue to inspire people to This DAY!

Telltale, ToMI needs a good song.

Make it a musical puzzle, and it's even better.

Seriously, NOBODY forgets "A Pirate I was meant to be" (Even if it wasn't much of a puzzle)

You've shown you can do it in the past (Food Related Love) and songs are a perfect opportunity for...

@Special Reward Download for fans/ DVD Extra

@Jokes about the fact that characters are randomly singing for no reason

@Catchiness

@Youtube fame

@Land to show his stuff

@Musical Type People

@A break from normal action

So please telltale, play us a song. Who's with me?

    I'd love a new pirate song ! The songs in Sam & Max and Strong Bad were brilliant so Telltale could do something great in Tales.

    Not ANOTHER petition?!?

    But still, a nice musical WOULD be good.

    If you don't like petitions, maybe you should start a petition to ban petitio... wait...

    never mind

    I'll admit they are getting a little annoying, but you never know what Telltale will listen to unless you try, right? And the more people who agree with you the better. The more people who disagree with you...
    um...
    The more the thread gets bumped. :)

    Somehow I am reminded of this song.

    Naw, I want a song, not a rap. No offense to people who enjoy rap, it just doesn't seem to "fit" with monkey island. Though, I will admit, it would be better then nothing. I just think that Land could do something better with orchestra instruments and organs then auto tuning.

    I bet that there will be a song! :)
    TT is used to that and it's funny... not only on Strong bad ("Food related love"), but the GREAT War song of Sam&Max!
    The only problem for a song in Tomi would be the classic 40 Mb limit of Wii... a decent quality song would be around 3mb only for that.

    I leave you with the great War Song :D

    Song would be nice, yeah. :)

    But what I'd REALLY like to start a petition about is the lost song from CMI, "Plank of Love". :D

    Don't get me wrong, I don't want this song to appear in ToMI! But I'd really really love to hear it some time.

    Something totally random outta left-field like the song in CMI or the Sam and Max war song would be awesome :)

    Sam n Max had a great similar song with singing computers

    Yeah! I would love a piratey song! Something like the musical number from Superball in S&M with Monkey Island humour would be amazing.

    The skeleton dancing song is a complete classic as is A pirate I'm meant to be, so this series needs a full musical number like only Telltale knows how to do.

    Dunno if there's a place for a song in Tales. Not that I'd tell you if there was one, but I'm going to say now to not get your hopes up. Unless there is one.

    If you haven't played Sam & Max Seasons One and Two yet, you're missing out on some song sweetness, though, I must say. Nearly every episode had a song with lyrics, in musical number form or otherwise.

    I'm glad you could be so specific.

    Awww. I'd like a song.

    Didn't Winslow sing some kind of song to himself in Episode 1? "lalala and the weather never ever does a thing for me"? I'd love to hear more of that song somewhere in the next episodes.

    I could compose it! :D

    ...that is, if Mr. Land is busy/sleepy/not in the mood ...
    :p

    The song Winslow was singing already exists. Don't know the name, but I'm pretty sure I've heard it in the Disney version of Alice in Wonderland, so it's pretty old. :o

    After some search on YouTube I managed to find it... Check it at 3:00.

    Darn.

    But can I make a suggestion? Assuming the 'Brush & Elaine are still together in last chapter, Plank of Love would be a really great way to finish off the credits.

    Heck, I wouldn't even care if it isn't in the game, but I'd really like to see the song produced. Maybe even just for the game's DVD release.

    The song is called The Sailor's Hornpipe. I've looked around & checked Wikipedia, and I think that the lyric version comes straight from Alice. I certainly can't find any other attempt (except for Tales of MI) of someone trying to sing said song.

    Awww... Well, thanks for responding truthfully (or, as truthfully as you could)

    Personally, I thought, given CoMI, a song would be perfect for the serise, but I guys the people in power don't.

    At least my hopes aren't up and I can move on to better things.

    Make it happen for Season 2! :)
