I know what Stan should sell in Tales of Monkey Island!

Assuming that stan makes an appearance in TOMI, which he definitely should, I think he should run an alcohol delivery company. And he should heavily promote a new variety of the drink we all know and love called Grog XD!

Any other ideas about what he should sell in Tales of Monkey Island.

    lol I don't NEED many characters to come back, but Stan really must be in Tales of Monkey Island and selling something more cool than whatever it was he did in EFMI.

    What about Stan's Pre-Owned Grog XD Delivery?

    One thing's for sure, whether through Stan or not, Grog XD just HAS to make a cameo in TMI SOMEWHERE.

    Stan just lacks the cool argentinian accent for it. The only way to say Grog XD is to say "Grog Echi De" two times in a row like in that video.

    I completely agree. I'm far more interested in seeing Grog XD have a serious presence in the next few games than I am in seeing Stan show up. Let's create a few more joke traditions rather than that endlessly revisiting old ones.

    Yes, that's why I liked that they revisited very briefly the insult sword fighting.

    Grog XD is an instant classic. It must be included in the games as soon as possible. It's too hylarious to be forgotten.

    "Grog XD? Grog , Grog Light and now Grog XD whats that?"
    "Forget Grog, Grog XD its THE NEW, extremly strond Drink from Argentinia, its been in the news everywhere!! only made by SCUMM alcoholic delivery arrr"
    "wow give me one!!!"
    "very well, but show me ID first...you have tobe UNDER 21 to get a Grog XD"

    All I care about is if they bring Stan back that they try to get the guy who did his voice in Curse or sounds like him. Cause the guy in Escape seemed all wrong.

    I actually liked his portrayal in Escape a little better. He was more manic, he didn't remember Guybrush, and he sounded a bit like Phil Hartman.

    That said, I liked his role in Curse much better. Because, you know, he actually had a purpose. I nearly died laughing at the conditions of his intro to the game.

    lol that would be funny, but I can't see it tying into the plot.

    But if there was some way to do it that didn't make it lame and cringeworthy, then it should definitely be in there.

    But maybe someone just mentioning the scumm alcohol delivery system would be better than stan selling it?

    I don't see what the big fuss about Grog XD is, (has anyone else noticed that it's the name of the current scummvm release).

    It was funny watching that TV clip, but it would be just silly to deliberatly sew it into the plot of a game.

    Making Stan sell something as easy to sell as alcohol - especially the most popular alcohol (Grog) is a stupid idea. Sorry, but it is.

    yeah. he likes a challange old stan. i hope he does show up sumwhere. i know he sold a map to doro but would be kool to see him( maybe infected by the pox). if he isnt there i wouldnt mind too much

    But this is Grog XD, which is hard to sell due to the sentiment against it led by the Argentinian press.

    i think it would be funny in a dark way if telltale kinda changed the mood of the game insanely after you meet stan. have him selling hardcore drugs and like guybrush gets addicted. the rest of the game is just guybrush trying to kick his habbit witch includes the scene from trainspotting

    Stan's voice casting was the worst choice the Monkey Island series ever made.

    I would agree there. Neither fit the character we saw in MI1 or 2 particularly well. MI3's was too bland and MI4's was too over-the-top.

    I could do with being eaten up by TT. I badly need a job. To get one I'd enjoy would be a bonus.
