Chapter 3 Release? Sept 9?

I have been waiting for the release of Chapter 3. The 9th has come and gone and I still can't download 3 off of steam. Was there a delay or is steam just messing up?

Odd that Steam don't have it yet... I've just finished it!

    . . .
Heh, just kidding. It hasn't been released yet.

The thing is, Steam doesn't just base their release dates off idle fact - they go by cold, hard speculation!
As it stands, I have no idea when the actual release date is; all I know is that the 09/09/09 date was just a guess on the part of Valve.

That's kinda hard when they do the episode while we speak. Troubleshooting takes time.

Geez, there are some inpatient people on these forums! Look, Telltale have not given a release date yet because they do not know when they will finish the episode! There are probably still some final touches they need to put on the episode, they are trying to bring us a high quality episode that is enjoyable for us to play! They could release the game in a demo format, would you like that? Or they could give us a release date that will just be a rough estimate and probably won't be met, then they'll have a bunch of people complaining "Why isn't the game out yet! Telltale would say it would be out by .....". The episode will be released when it's done and Telltale are confident that it is as problem and glitch free as it can be, they will give you a release date when the game is closer to completion. Until then, please be patient and get off their backs. If you want something to do while you wait for "Lair of the Leviathan" then why not go back and play the previous Monkey Island games or spend some time looking at all of the fan made MI stuff that's everywhere on youtube and the world wide web, just stop harassing Telltale and flooding the forums with whining, whinging and complaints. Remember, it's been a busy week for them with all of the preparation for PAX.

(This is not directed at everybody who speculate the release date of Lair, just the annoying, complaining ones)

ANOTHER EDIT: (This is not directed towards BodiesFly either, who was just asking a question)

I totally agree. The game will be out when its done and no sooner. Telltale are giving us an epic story here, the least we can do is cut them some slack. Chances are, if we pressure them too much, they'll rush the game, and people will complain even more. As for biding the time while waiting, I've got a new desktop to build, so that will keep me busy, plus school and stiff like that.

    don't be so harsh guys!
Im sure BodiesFly didn't mean to crack heads on telltale.
He just thought the 09.09. was an announced releasedate and wondered what went wrong. Could habe been that it's already out and there was something wrong with steam.
    remember
    we're all friends here! ;-)

My rant wasn't directed at BodiesFly (I apologize if it seemed that way), It was directed at Fury and many other people across the forums who expect a little too much of Telltale.

    Ok then.
    You're right about that.

They should take their time. I rather wait longer for a better chapter.

Honestly, you 'PC' gamers are so impatient. You wouldn't last a day waiting for chapter 2 to be released on WiiWare.
