Exceptions for Birthday Treats? *puppy dog eyes*

edited September 2009 in Tales of Monkey Island
Hi! This message is generally aimed at the staff of TellTale.

I just found out the "Lair of the Leviathan" comes out on the 29th of September.

Although I'm normally reluctant to give out such personal information over the internet I find it necessary in order to make this request. (I know that the request is unlikely to be granted but I feel really strongly about Monkey Island and need to try).

You see, on the 29th September the anniversary of my birth is celebrated by close family members and friends I can't quite shake off. I normally don't really ask for anything of anybody for my birthday but this year... What the hell?

The previous 2 episodes of TMI were not actually available for download on the given dates in my time zone (GMT). I was wandering if, at all possible, if it would be ok if a special exception would be made so that I could actually download the game on my birthday if I made the solemn promise that I would not redistribute the game in any way, give any spoilers prior to 'official' release or anything else that would otherwise affect the integrity of sales or the game itself?

I suppose somebody else might come along and say "what about all the other poor suckers who want the game on their birthday but live in the wrong time zone?". Well, I guess I'm making the same request in their behalf, too. Others might ask "what about those who wanted previous chapters of the game on their birthday but they, too, lived in the wrong time zone to make this possible? Is this not unfair to them if your request is granted?" to which I'd say; "well... Why didn't they ask?"

Thanks in advance.

Episode 2 was available before noon Eastern, so it would have still been the same day GMT.

The calendar is cyclical. Any day we release the game will be one day after the birthday for some thousands of people.

That's all TTG needs is you getting all excited and running around like you're king of the World and telling everyone you already played the episode in your best Donald Duck voice. You'd be the boss and you'd abuse it like Donald would...you'd talk smack. You'd be all up and about how TTG loves you and just accepts the rest of us and how you and TTG is in together so tight.

Yeah, should have said you had cancer. Oh well, too late now :(

Last time TT released it as soon as they got in the office, about 8am & we in the UK got it at around 3pm. If they can do that again I'll be more than happy.
