I’m going to watch the new Halloween. I’m excited for it
I've just watched the first few episodes of The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix. I'm really enjoying the show so far. Gonna binge watch the rest tonight most probably.
Man, I wish Stranger Things season 3 would come out already...
Well, for October I've been mostly watching the original Star Trek TV series. What it lacks in special effects, it makes up for in acting and storytelling. Also been watching multiple crime shows, specifically Monk and The Closer.
On Halloween night, my family and I have a tradition in which we lock ourselves indoors with bowls of homemade Chili and candy while watching old suspense/horror films, like Alfred Hitchcock's the Birds.
Along with watching TWD Season 9 every Sunday, I'm looking to start Netflix's The Dragon Prince and get around to Season 2 of Stranger Things. I'm also going to go see the new Halloween movie when it comes out.
Well besides, The Walking Dead on Monday in the UK. I usually watch the Halloween Movies, Saw, and TCM. But this time going to see the new Halloween when it arrives.
If anyone's in the spooky Halloween mood yet, here's a Scooby Doo Parody of the Blair Witch Project that Cartoon Network aired in 1999.
Dang, I can't believe it has almost been a year since Stranger Things season 2 aired. I need to catch up on all the current episodes of Castle Rock. I'll be keeping with with The Walking Dead, along with catching up on latest episodes of Fear the Walking Dead. And this Halloween, I'll probably rewatch Jeepers Creepers and watch one of the founding zombie flicks, Night of The Living Dead.
31 Days of Halloween and the new Halloween movie.
Norvill, HILARIOUS!
I have never seen horror movies like Psycho, Scream, The Conjuring, The Descent, 28 Days Later etc. and I plan to watch some of them in this month.
I think I'm going to pick up The Haunting of Hill House in the next week.
It's a new Netflix horror show that's getting a lot of buzz. I hope my psyche can handle it!
I watched it last weekend, and really enjoyed it. I'm not sure if it's all that scary really, though I'm a bad judge, I only get scared by real life.
The show focuses a lot on the family drama and family dynamics. Even if they got rid of the supernatural part of the story it would still be a really good show.
I'm currently watching The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix and it is an exceptional horror tv show. Really great, but it is to be expected, since it's written and directed by Mike Flanagan, who made some of the most unique horror movies of the past couple of years, like Oculus, Hush and Geralds Game
After that, i'm going to watch the third season of Daredevil, which came out today, and i'm trying to catch up on the second season of Big Mouth, but it's not really high on my priority list despite it being incredible.
After Daredevil, i'm going to watch The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Bodyguard, both dropping on next friday on Netflix.
And between or while I watch these shows, I continue my big The Walking Dead rewatch. I bought the S1-S6 blu-ray set for 30€ and accidently watched S1 in one day. I'll start S2 soon.
But I also watch some weekly-shows. There's HBO's The Deuce: Season Two, which is written by David Simon who also did The Wire, which is one of the best tv shows of all time. Then there is the third season of Riverdale, which is honestly my favorite guilty pleassure of all time. It's bad, but in the best way possible. I also watch 4Blocks: Season 2, which is a german tv show by TNT about an arabic clan in Berlin trying to survive the criminal underworld of Berlin. It's pretty fantastic, because it's frightengly accurate.
So, yeah. That's where I'm at.
I'm probably going to replay every twd game aside from ANF and I'm trying to find a way I can watch Coraline but no luck so far.
I have a school break next week so I'll probably start watching some new series, haven't done that in a while. I'm thinking about Sharp Objects because I like Amy Adams and Patricia Clarkson and the synopsis sounds promising.
Same here man im going to see it this week - really love the series.
American Horror Story
Sharp Objects is fantastic. The editing in that show is on another level.
Just finished haunting of hill house. going to be watching channel zero, American horror story, Sabrina, maybe over the garden wall, any other stuff that looks cool. Going to a special screening of it.
I'm beginning to watch The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix.
Only seen the first episode, but it's pretty good so far. It's a bit hard to follow since there are about 6 main characters the show switches to and from, and there's also scenes in the Past and Present, though the latter is easier to identify due to the Past taking place in the family's old home, Hill House. I'll probably get used to it over time.
There are spooks, and I did get spooked, but nothing super serious yet. I'm sure it'll get worse the further I get into this thing.
Oh boy...
The only thing worth watching this month:
I've got to catch up on Better Call Saul and finish up the second season of 13 Reasons Why.
i wonder how crowded the theater will be if i try to see halloween on halloween
Rest of October? literally?
I'm about to watch the original Halloween on Halloween at a local theater of mine. Never seen it before.
I'm excited!
Halloween was fun.
It's campy, but it's a late-70s movie so what can ya do?
I think the buildup of suspense throughout the whole thing was executed well. Michael didn't do too much for 60% of the film except for stalking everyone. It was still creepy though... The film crew did a good job at choreographing some unexpected spooks. Camera pans away, pans back, and there you have a surprise. Or, sometimes it's a still shot, then Michael appears from behind something unexpectedly, even though you knew he was nearby...
The music is great, and it's cool to see John Carpenter composed it alongside writing and directing the film. He only made two tracks though lol... But they're cool and catchy.
One complaint I've got is the uber-cheesy ending. Michael survives almost everything thrown at him (and I think he's supposed to be human). Laurie "kills" him twice, and both times she drops his knife near his body both times. I know she doesn't know he's not dead but... You'd think she learned her lesson after the first time she got him down, but no.
All in all, I thought it was good. It's a classic, that's for sure.
Now I want to watch the new 2018 one. That looks to be a bit more intense and real.
