The certificate was apparently approved ahead of time to be good until July.
But you know what they say--once it shows up on the Internet, it stays.
It makes the most sense that the website will be shut down after a while... why would they keep paying for a website for a dead company?
It's great that the website is alive still since we got one more episode of TWD to get but I doubt this address will exist at 2020.
At least they gave Batman a fairly concrete ending. It wasn't a cliff hanger or something like that, so that is satisfying.
They must of paid for the domain name years in advance.
